It is a conditioner? Its it a treatment? I have it sitting Im my hair now wondering should I leave it in or wash it out. It says to rinse out but its not labeled as a conditioner.
I really wanna use it as a leave in but I heard it makes your hair hard. :/

I only use it after I do their protein treatment, to make my hair softer. Their protein treatment is the strongest protein I ever had. There is probably some members here that use it for other reasons.

Oh and yeah I wash it out and put a moisturizing conditioner in my hair.

This is one conditioner that I would not leave in. Besides the fact that it's not labeled as a leave-in, it's also not very moisturizing,

Well I guess it can be considered as a treatment since it's used to balance the hair after the ApHogee Two-Step is thoroughly rinsed out. I've used it and it I think it sucks, my moisturizing deep conditioners do a better job at restoring moisture balance. I don't know many ladies here that still use the Balancing Moisturizer to restore moisture, generally they just use a moisture rich deep conditioner of their choice.

I only bought back in the day when Ateya did her wash routine video. That chick had me buying ApHogee's whole line. It was the worst product in their IMO.

It really is only for balancing the hard protein treatment. This is the second step of the Two-step protein treatment.

i did the 2 step yesterday and i didn't use it either. it does nothing for me. i just used my dc that didn't have protein in it to balance everything out and my hair is nice and soft.

I have been using it lately as my protein treatment instead of the 2-minute. It has veg protein, SilkAA, collagenAA plus 5 other amino acids. My hair loves the collagen and SAA.

My daughter had also been using it with the poo for damaged hair as her reg weekly routine.

ETA: The first time I used Aphogee, I used the whole line and it restored my hair. After that it was overload.

I like it, but I only use it after Aphogee 2 step. It shouldnt replace your deep conditioner, but it does balance and restore the hair's normal pH. I can feel the difference if I skip the balancing conditioner...it's a keeper.

Yalll are giving me new idea's on using this bad boy, as it does suck alone... I never dc after 2StepProtein/Balance Treatment, which I may start to do now...

I am no longer going to entertain the thought of using it as a con as I have so much of it... :ohwell:

Yup Ateya really convinced me to use it, she always had shine and swing and I feel like the times her hair looked its best was when she used ApHogee.

I used mine recently too like maybe a week and a half ago and I don't even bother to buy the Balancing Moisturizer, it's crap. My hair's pH gets restored by me rinsing for a LOOOOOOOONG time and using my favourite DC. Simple.

You need to start, it makes a world of a difference.

i rinsed for a long time and used Tresemme Naturals as a rinse out. after that, i dc'ed.

Ateya had me buying a lot of stuff from their line, but i can't use protein like that. i mean her hair was just drinking it up! she using the reconstructor after using the 2 step. i can't with her practices, but her hair always looks nice.

Like someone said above, this product is only made to balance the hair after using the hard protein treatment. It's step 2 of 2. And they hard formulated to work together. I think it's effective when used the way it's supposed to be.

When I use the Two Step Protein Treatment, I skip this step because It does nothing for my hair. Im better off using a conditioner afterwards instead of this. Ive never used it with the treatment because Im really sure It wouldnt work there.

I just ordered this, but I was only going to use it after the two-step treatment to re-balance my hair, and then use my own moisturizing conditioner afterwards.

Whenever I purchase the small packet of the 2 step protein treatment. I just trash this and use my own deep conditioner.

I've used the hardcore ApHogee treatment (both old and new formulas) for years and I've never used the balancing moisturizer. I always follow up with a good moisturizing conditioner (usually left on for an hour) and I've never had any problems.

Yeah when I had big bottles of the Tresemme Moisture Rich Conditioner, I used that and my hair was good. I know some people are a stickler for instructions but I rather listen to my hair if it's responding better to something else.

Agreed, I never understood the need for the triple heat. If you're blow-drying and flat-ironing, why bother with extra curling? Her hair always looks nice though so if she's happy, I'm happy. I think her hair needed all that protein because of all the heat she put her hair through. :spinning:
