Has anyone tried these hair elastics?

I was in the store yesterday and I saw these so I had to buy them. They have a feel like a gel type of material, but I feel a little cautious because I'm thinking they might end up ripping my hair out like a rubber band. But I haven't seen anything online about them, no reviews or anything. So, I'm wondering if they actually live up to their promise of being gentle to the hair.

I'd think as long as there is no seam (where the ends are sealed) or if the seams are cloth covered (I have wide elastics with the seams covered in material) or if the seams are smooth, there shouldn't be a problem using these.

Where'd you find them? BBS? I'd probably buy and use them.

eta - probably shouldn't call them seams - can't think of a proper term for those ends hehe.

I think that maybe I'll just try them for a few days and see if i notice any missing hair. Anytime I use elastics, I notice knots of hair around them after a few days. So I guess that would be the best test.

I just had to buy these though, this is the first time I saw elastics that weren't cloth covered or just straight up plastic rubber bands.

I found them at CVS. I did see them on Amazon here, but they were about $2 cheaper at CVS and I didn't have to pay for shipping.:yep:

I don't know if these are the same but I have some Scunci "No Damage" elastics and they've caused me no breakage. As long as there is no metal clasp and no seam, you should be fine.
