Yes I have it and read most of it. It's a great reference book. I found it to be very enlightening. I do wish I could find the color version though.

I got it in the mail yesterday and started reading it yesterday. It is very interesting so far and it looks to be very informative!!!

The Science of Black Hair is the "Bible" for Our Hair

I've read this book cover to cover a month ago and even after a month of using what I learned in this book, I can already see positive results.

The book was definitely well thought out and well written and personally I'm grateful to be able to read a book about my hair that I don't have to consciously skip over certain parts because they were written for people of non color and not for us. I'm also glad that when I need a reference on how to build and maintain healthy hair and the hair of my child, I can find most if not all of what I need all in one place.

All that to say that if you can buy it, do it because this book is truly the truth!!!

Sent from my VZW iPhone (so please excuse any typos 'cause autocorrect is a bytch!!)

I received my copy 2 weeks ago but haven't had time but only glance at a few paragraphs. I want to read it cover to cover one day soon.

This book was definitely worth the money. After all my research in the past two years, this book has been able to compile all that information learned, clarify and further build on my knowledge behind the science of our hair. If you think you know it all, i'm sure this book will prove you wrong!! It is the science plain and simple, I love it so far, i'm only half way through!

Will you give us an example of something you learned? or was clarified?

This book is definitely worth the price, every black woman should own it! I learned lots of new info...had never heard of a chelating shampoo before this book, only knew about a clarifying shampoo

Hey Faith,

You know what? I've learned so much from this book that I wouldn't know where to begin. However if you're interested, here's a link to a review that Kim (Kimmaytube) did on the book. The review is a bit long but that's only because she's just as impressed as everyone else was. Still, she runs off a list of a lot of what you'll find in the book. Interestingly enough, as much as she goes on (and for good reason) even she can't tell you everything. :yep:

Enjoy!

I agree that the book is incredibly informative. I wonder how Audrey Davis knows so much about hair.
