has anyone ever used grapeseed oil?

Sweetie ask a narrower question for helpful, resourceful responses.

Yes I use grapeseed oil on my hair weekly.

Yes, I love grapeseed oil. I use it to seal after moisturizing, use it in conditioners, and use it for pre-pooing. It has high amounts of linoleic acid.

Linoleic Acid supports the appearance and health of the hair cuticle. Hair that is lacking in Linoleic Acid may appear to be rough and coarse. Linoleic Acid helps to smooth the hair cuticle which not only protects the hair but makes it appear glossy and vibrant. Linoleic Acid also works with other fatty acids to absorb moisture from the air to nourish your hair and maintain an optimum level of hydration.

:spinning: thanks!

Yes, I use it in my hair weekly after I have combed out my hair and apply a leave-in I will also use just a little amount of grapeseed oil. Not to mention I use grapeseed oil in my Shea Butter mix concoction.

This oil is great for curly haired girls for it helps clumps the curls and give more definition.

Try it!

When I wash & go, I apply after it dries for shine.
Add grapeseed oil to my DC's & leave ins.
Use it in an oil mixture when I HOT.
Use it to detangle when my hair gets really matted in the back.
Apply to my ends after I flat iron.

Grapeseed & Castor are two of my favorite oils.

I tried to prepoo with it and it did nothing for my hair. Too light for that so I'm trying to find other ways to use it. Next up is oil rinsing then sealing.

Yes I use it. I use it in my pre-poo mixes, in DC, as well as sealant after leave-in.

I also use it on my skin.

I've used it before for about a month to seal. For some reason, it caused my hair to shed like crazy, as in huge balls of hair. That went away once I stopped using it.

I've used it before when I was still into mixing stuff. It made my hair soft/shiny and added "umph" to otherwise just ok conditioners. Same with rice bran oil.

I love grapeseed oil. I immediately feel a difference when I put it in my hair. I mainly use it with my wash n gos (right after conditioner and before gel) :yep:

Grapeseed oil is my favorite oil :yep: I began using it because it has ceramides (linoleic acid, mentioned upthread, contains ceramides. Grapeseed oil has the second highest amount of linoleic acid in an oil, after safflower oil iirc). I use it in everything, prepoos, DCs, moisturizing and sealing. My hair loves it, relaxed or natural, and it always leaves my hair soft.

I use it to seal my hair and I blend it with my shea butter mix to seal my ends with. Its a great weather barrier for my hair (both hot and cold weather) without weighing my hair down or making it greasy.

I use it the same way I use EVOO...I use it 4 to five times a day to moisturize my hair. I had it to water....1/4 GSO 3/4 water..shake and spray. I usually alternate between using GSO and EVOO....
