...and did it have any adverse effects on your hair? I'm due for one this weekend and I want to be sure that it's safe on hair. /images/graemlins/confused.gif
lol crydson. My grandma had an MRI and she had no problems at all. Believe me.......she is one fussy woman and if she had a complaint you'd be sure the whole world heard about it. As for hair, I'm pretty sure that there are no side effects. It's just a large magnet, what's the worst that could happen?
yes, i pray that the tests come back fine. and even if your hair does come out, it will grow back. you can talk to your doctor about the mri and the effects that it will have on your body (hair)
Crysdon, don't worry about the MRI, my sister has then done all the time her docs are trying to rule out MS, because she has problems w/ her vision. This has been going on since May of last year. She hasn't experienced any affects on her her. Pray all goes well for you /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good luck and check out the link in my post. Basically an MRI is like an xray but it uses a powerful magnetic. I have known of a person who received one years ago (1997) and had no side effects, no problems whatsoever. Children even have them.
GOOD LUCK CRYSDON AND keep us posted!!!!!!!!!
Crysdon,
I have had one before and no, I don't think it affected my hair. Hope you are OK. BTW, just remember to KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED during the MRI!!! /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

LondonDiva, MRI technically stands for magnetic resonance imaging. Like the previous poster described, it's basically a large x ray machine without the x rays.
