Has anyone ever experienced this?

I waited 8 weeks to retouch my hair this time and felt soooo much new growth come in. Even when I washed my hair I could barely comb throught it. Yet,when I relaxed my hair last evening it didnt look like it had gotten any longer. Whats the deal? has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

Yip. Many of times. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Unless you noticed breakage, I'm sure you did gain length, it just may not exactly be what you had pictured in mind.

Thanks Karonica. I was thinking the same thing because in my mind I thought my hair would be closer to bra strap than it is but when I relaxed it I was like "oh my,what happened to all that growth?".....I'm glad this is normal. It did happen to me once before a long time ago now that I think about it.

It happens to me also. When having a patch of new growth coming out the head and I don't see any length just a little.

Happened to me on my first touch up Friday. Plus my stylist gave me a "dusting" (maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch) at no extra charge. I could've done without the dusting, cuz you know they're scissor happy when they cut for free. I thought my vitamins would result in more than average growth during the 8 weeks, but I'm just average. I'm considering mixing Sulfur 8 with Healthier Hain in a Bottle to stimulate my scalp.

When that happened to me my hair was underprocessed, just never realised. When i did a pull through the length definitely was there.

Hi everyone,

I think also because I air dry my hair dries with a natural wave pattern so I never really see the true length unless I pull out my flat iron. I think in a couple of weeks I will straighten it with the flat iron and see what the results truly are. Even now,not even one week after my relaxer my hair is wavy,not at the root but throughout the length so I have about 30% shrinkage right now.

Try measuring and keep a journal. That way you will know for sure.
