Has anybody tried any John Frieda products?

I saw some in the black section of Target, and from the look of them it seems like they would be good. But I wasn't going to buy anything based on looks. Has anybody used them, and if so did you like them?

i haven't used anything from the Relax line. i bet they have similar ingredients as those in the Frizz-Ease line. i have a couple of Frizz-Ease products: the Serum and Secret Weapon. both of these work very well for me.

if you contact them and ask for samples, they'll send you discount coupons and little sample packets. at least they did when i asked a while ago.

Hi MissJ,

I've tried the Frizz-Ease texture correcting serum and their moisturizer. Personally, I wasn't impressed.

Back in the day when my hair was in a Wave Nouveau curly perm, I used to sometimes use the Frizz Ease Serum to make my hair more curly and it worked really well.

Now that my hair's relaxed, last summer I tried the Ripple Effect spray from the Relax line. This helped make the hair dry in waves. Although for me, I needed to use Kiehls silk groom first to cut down on frizzies.

Would I re-purchase? maybe. Although I want to try a couple of different curl enhancing products for this summer.

I'm on my second bottle of the John Frieda Relax Retexturizing Serum. I really love the way it detangles my hair and it seems to make my roller sets come out smooth.

I did buy one of the products but not the shampoo and conditioner. I bought the ripple effect wave-maker styling spray. I'm gonna try it today when I wash my hair.

brownrelaxedhair, I see that you've tried this. It says on the bottle to use the blowdryer and scrunch the hair. Did you use the blow dryer with yours or did you just let it dry naturally while scrunching?

MissJ, I let my hair air dry. What I did was after lightly towel drying the hair, I ran some Kiehls silk groom through it all first. Then sprayed the R.E. all over, scrunching the hair with my hands in the area I spray. I usually would try and stay outside in the sun to speed up the airdrying and while it dried, I'd still scrunch handfuls of hair until it completely dried.

Ive used their Miraculous Recovery Treatment as a protein conditoner. It's pretty good. My hair dried smooth and shiny and strong

I've tried the whole Relax line and the shampoo and conditioner did nothing for me. My hair felt dry and stringy so now I just keep 'em around in case a white person comes over and needs shampoo. The ripple stuff just made my hair hard and apear dirty.

But then again, one isn't really spoilt for choice up here in moose-country.

I've used the Blow it Straight Creme (only once) and the texturing correcting serum. I liked the serum but it's probably no different from any of the others serums on the market. As far as the creme, I'm not sure. I only used it once. It gave my hair some shine but I prefer my TCB blowdry lotion if I am going to blowdry my hair.

Also, I purchased the moisture remedy creme because I was looking for a light oil-free creme moisturizer. I did not like it all!

My waves didn't turn out right. Maybe I have too much hair. I combed it, and they went out. Maybe I didn't do it right.

Karonica, how did you make waves and curls without it?
