I'm about to try some new products and I'm leaning towards Karen's Body Beautiful product line for hair. But lately, I've seen people raving about Hairveda, Oyin, Anita Grant, Karen's and Qhemet. Which is your favorite and how does one compare to the others? If you mix and match, which is your favorite product from each line?

FYI: I'm gonna need Empress to give a quick comparison contrast of each product because each time a googled the products...her youtube videos popped up :yep: Do I smell PJ!!!

Oyin-Juices and berries is a staple. I did not like the other products they did nothing for my hair.

Karens- The hair nectar, butter, shampoo and con, going to be trying the milk soon. They work well and have great fragrances. It got a little expensive for me but im thinking about going back to all her products maybe in the future.

Anita grant- whipped butter and rhassoul, they were ok to me, not good enough to be ordering from the uk. But if she was in the states id order again.

Qhemet- Ive tried everything but the cleansing tea and the gel. the other products did not work for me i think they are too heavy for my hair.

Never tried hairveda if i had to go with one line it would be karen's.

I chose shescentit by nadia hair products...the avocado conditioner, bannana brulee and moisture mist was great. I also like her siyani hair butter.

hydrathermal naturals products are great too, especially the moisturizing growth lotion, her growth oil and deep conditioner and I also enjoyed the follicle invigorator. It's on the expensive side, so I don't order from her too much, but I've seen results on my hair with her products.

Qhemet has the best moisturizers ever, with the Amla Heavy Cream and the Olive and Honey Balm.

Love it!

Oyin- I have tried almost everything in the oyin line. For my hair, the products didn't work well enough for me to re-order. The only thing I was comtemplating reordering was the pomade- BUT the smell was too strong.

Karens- Tried the hair milk, nectar, butter, LL hair mask. Honestly-if I do reorder it will be for the oils and the hair mask and maybe the milk. The milk and nectar are ok but the make my hair shrink and look really dull-which I don't like. The butter has a nice consistency but it just sits on my dry hair. I get better results with other lines for softness and sealing. The hair mask is REALLY good. I am NOT a fan of the price though so I won't be ordering for quite a while.

Anita grant- Haven't tried cause they are overseas

Qhemet- I agree with Colocha- most of the products were too heavy for me. BUT I haven't tried the burdock cream, which might be ok. But Im really not interested in reordering.

Hairveda- The sitrinillah, green tea butter, almond glaze work really well for me. Green butter leaves my hair really soft-for days. The almond glaze is GREAT for sealing in moisture. I really like these three. I also like that she has great sales.

If I were to order online again-it would be to re-up on hairveda and get some oils, LL mask and body stuff from karens.

HAIRVEDA! Can the church say AMEN? Love the whipped cream on my ends. Hated Qhemet. I'm relaxed though.

Karen's Body Beautiful--I have never tried anything from this line and honestly have no interest in it.

Qhemet Biologics--I haven't tried this line yet. I am interested in the Amla Oil Nourishing Pomade and the Amla & Olive Heavy Cream. I keep hearing people say it's too heavy so I'm sure that will work for my thick texlaxed hair.

Anita Grant--Was interested until I saw that stuff was coming from overseas.

Oyin Handmade--I love Juices & Berries. It replaced Hairveda's Hydrasoft Spritz when it started acting up. I use Juices & Berries on wet hair and also on dry hair for wet bunning. Love the smell!

Hairveda--I would chose this line if I had to chose one. I saw Pokahontas' Hairveda thread in the first month I joined and I haven't looked back. I've used every single product except green tea herbal butter.

Almond glaze--use as hair grease. Yep I said it. I love hair grease !

Whipped gelly--use on wet hair if I want to do a wash & go and wear my hair down. Doesn't make your hair crunchy. It has a soft hold. It really defines the waves.

Amala shampoo--use as a clarifier, it gets your hair squeaky clean without the stripping

Amala creme rinse--used for light cleaning, I'm thinking of having this replace shampoo but I have a ton of poo to use up so it will be a while

Whipped cream--daily moisturizer, consistency is just right for me, I use on wet and dry hair

Vatika frosting--solid oil that liquifies at room temperature and when your rub in your hands, if you like coconut oil then you will love this, use for pre poo

Cocasta--very thick, sealant

Methi sativa recovery system--2 step, 1st step smells :nono:, 2nd step smells :lick:,protein treatment

Sitrinillah--deep conditioner :lick:

Moist 24/7--cowash, people sleep on this all of the time

Moist PRO--cowash,balance of protein & moisture

Avosoya oil--light, body oil

Whipped Shealoe Mousse (now Whipped Clouds)--body moisturizer

HTH

Oco you need to stop now making me want to go buy some stuff.:look:

Ok hydratherma naturals- growth lotion and growth oil, make the hair nice and soft and they smell like buttercream frosting:lick:.

Shescent it- Scalp spritz and moisturizing mist good products.

Asha--I haven't tried that line. I thought I read somewhere that actually receiving your products is an issue.

Darcy Botanicals--I have a wish list for that line.

Shescentit
I really like the body scrubs. They smell so good! They do start with a layer of oil but once you stir it up not a problem.

Fortifying Hair Masque--Liked the sample but when I got the full jar not so much. It's too thin for me.

Green Tea & Hibiscus Conditioner--Smells really good. Made my hair feel like butter.

Honey Conditioning Rinse--Smells really good. Made my hair feel like butter.

I probably won't repurchase from Shescentit though. I'm working on narrowing down my staples & backups and these products are not calling my name.

Oops forgot about Hydratherma Naturals. I had a wish list for a long time for that line but then decided not to try it all.

Ive tried them all with the exception of Anita Grant and love each of them for different reasons. But if I had to choose one it would be Karens. Because the #1 thing my hair needs is moisture, and that it was Karen's gives me.

I can't give an ojective overview, b/c i've only tried Hairveda. Everything I've used from the Hairveda line delivers for me. I would like to try a few products from the KBB line but some of the cones give me pause. Shescentit is also very tempting.:drunk:

I am a fan of:

Hairveda
Karen's
Hydratherma Naturals
Shescentit

If I had to pick one, it would be Hairveda ALL THE WAY!

not important, but the picture of the KBB product in the first post is actually a Carol's Daughter product :)

I've tried all the lines but Anita's. As of right now KBB is my fav.

The pic you posted of KBB is actually Carol's Daughter though.

hmmmm im not sure which one to choose because there are several on here that i like and are staples.

karens body beautiful: love this line. the hair milk, hair cream, deep conditioner and LL hair mask are all staples. i use the hair milk and cream at least twice a week because they are so moisturizing.

hairveda: love the cocasta oi, vatika frosting(infact i used it in my deep karens body beautiful mask lat night and i used it to seal this morning) sitrinill mask, and the whipped cream. the cocasta oil is my fave. i seal with it at night and when i wake up my hair is so soft and detaingled. the vatika frosting is a great oil as well.

oyin: this line is my ultimate fave right now. the whipped pudding is soooooo moisturizing and thick. it defines curls and keeps hair soft all day long. the HH conditioner is amazing as well. i use it as a co wash and an overnight deep treat. then omg i love the juices. i mix them in water so they can last longer. i spray it on my dry hair before i moisturize with a cream. i also love the burnt sugar pomade which is bassically a solid oil.

I was so disappointed with darcy's botanicals, never had a product make my hair hard and tangled. Usually a product wither works or doesn't for me, but this one managed to make my hair worse. And the Madagascar vanilla styling cream I got was lumpy and greasy.

Karen's is alright, not reordering

for me it's between oyin and qhemet

Qhemet's products are harder to work with for me. The Amla and Olive heavy cream has taken a while for me to learn how to use. I had to start mixing it with the honeybush gel or water for it to work on my hair. I love the Amla pomade and Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee, I think I will keep using them.

Oyin's products are easier to use (at least for me) but the scents are too much at times/ I love the Burnt Sugar Pomade but I couldn't stomach the smell everyday. The Whipped Pudding scent was too strong for me and smelled like dark chocolate and coffee, I couldn't use it regularly. I love their spritzes, Juices and Berries smells awesome and so does greg juice. But I don't want to pay $11 for something I could use up in 2 weeks.

I think Qhemet Wins

hydratherma naturals: everything was trash in a bottle for my hair except for the oil and the protein balance leave in. neither one was great enough for me to repurchase but they were the best out the bunch.

shescentit: this is a great all natural handmade line and it taakes me less than a week to get my order. i love all the conditioners except the avocado conditioner. i use them all as pre poos. hated the butters though.

my hair hated qhemet so i wont even go into that one.

forgot i didnt like darcy botanicles either. the pomade was weird and the juicy peach looked nothing like the picture. it was hard and weird to work with.

Thanks Chebaby! I forgot to mention Honey Hemp in my post. Love it! I will always buy it. I use it as a cowash conditioner.

Hairveda has been wonderful to me, everything I purchased has worked for me, and I have plenty. I am interested in trying some KBB hair milks. I don't think I will walk away from Hairveda, I really love those products. I have not tried any of the others posted.

My bad...I got that from google images. It's fixed now.

I think I'm going to get a mix of KBB and Hairveda, based on the reviews. Keep 'em coming ladies. Hopefully your reviews will help someone else making this same decision.

Hairveda - I absolutely love their whipped jelly. It gives a wonderfully hold. The last time I tried to order I could only order one 8 oz. jar. They said that the 16 oz. was out stock.

I ordered the the KBB hair milk, hair nectar, and deep conditioner last week so I don't have anything to repot on KBB yet.

Oh girl!!

Okay, ALL of them are great lines. BUT depending on what you want, and style options, you have to know what you're working with.

Anita Grant is great for moisture and nourishment. If you like doing twists, braids or maybe even locs her products are nice. Now if you wanted say to do a wash and go with her products (assuming you have hair like mine that needs a styler for a wash n go, you may need to use something else, or at least something on top.)

KBB, ahh. I could NOT live without her hair milk or luscious locks hair mask. The hair milk, as well as nectar or super silky actually play nice with products from other lines.

Qhemet. for when you need HEAVY duty moisture. If you have dry, damaged hair that will not retain moisture, I recommend this line to everyone. It had my SIL's hair growing back!

Oyin, a nice line that is less expensive than Anita Grant but still has great products with natural ingredients.

Hairveda, hmm sitri nillah. When I need a deep treatment I go to this. There are too many other products from this line that I love.

*note* I mostly only use these lines when I'm doing a protective style. When I need to wear my hair loose, out comes the curl junkie or kccc.

Now if you want PRODUCT comparisons...girl...we'd be here all night!

I've only tried Anita Grants range since those other brands are abroad... I did manage to get some juices and berries on a swap board which I loved - I'm definitely interested in trying more from the range!

Anita grant

Creamy cafe laté - I usually go for the vanilla scent since I hate coffee.. it smells really nice and its like a butter but really light and melts into your hand and hair.. I use it on wet and dry hair and it works wonders

Pomade - I love this for keeping down the frizzies, its like a light vaseline consistancy adds shine and isn't heavy.. Its great for defining twist outs.

Rhassoul Treatment -
Sometimes I like it sometimes I don't.. you have to make the mixture yourself so I guess the results and treatment will vary on consistency and the mixture. worth a try nevertheless.

peppermint shampoo bar-
I love this!!! It smells great hads alot of lather to it, clarifies brilliantly and doesn't strip my hair at all.

The prices are reasonable but the postage can take forever since everthing is handmade

I really want to try Oyin, Karen's and Qhemet but I'm not sure if its worth the postage to the uk either from the states or europe
