OK, I have a formal event to go to on the 13th (pastor's b-day celebration) I have the above dress, except mine has a lot of beading at the v of the neckline and around the bodice. I know I want to wear my hair up, but I need something fiyah and I can't come up with anything. I think it's because I wear my hair up all the time, I am at a loss. Do you ladies know of any good sites with updos, or do you have any pictures, suggestions. Thanks ladies.

ETA, reason why I keep suggesting curls is something in your description of beading at the neckline is making me think boho-chic, and I just think something curly and cute would look well with boho. Even if it isn't boho, I think curls go well with everything. If you want to keep it on the sleek side, a nice large bun would be cute. Real large, think JLo in "Maid in Manhattan" kind of large. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Okay let me start here..... The dress is fire!! I saw it and thought right away, and UPDO.
Then I continued to read and saw that is what you wanted. (okay, I looked at the pic first. lol)

Okay, I think wear it up with loose curles and maybe a few curls hanging in the front. You must take pics of whatever you decide to do to your hair. I know it will be very nice.

That is the dress from newport news! Great minds think alike! , but I got mine from Penney's. I can't find a picture of it anywhere. It has a lot of beading down the v neck and around the bodice. But the exact same overlay and pleating on the skirt. I loved J-lo's hair in that movie. It was so elegant. Thanks ladies for all your help!!!! I have a really good idea of what I want to do now. It will be that large bun, with a few curls coming down in the front. I am so excited. I will make sure to take a lot of pictures!
