Well ladies...I wanted to know if anyone has tried to use a little bit of hairspray to fight the frizz and puffiness? I mean I am sick and tired of my hair puffing up after I straighten it..Has anyone tried this? Any good results?

I'm thinking that even just a light spray might help a bit. what do you think?

I haven't straightened my hair in ages, but I used to use Sebastian Super Shaper hairspray after flat ironing, it really helped to keep the frizz at bay

I have very poof prone hair as well. Back when I was natural and pressing, I tried hairspray and it didn't really work. If there is a product out there that is good at controlling poof I'd be really interested because even relaxed my hair likes to poof.

caltron, John Frieda Frizz Ease (Thermal Protection if using heat). You apply it to damp relaxed hair, making sure to coat the strands well--that doesn't mean go crazy and be heavy handed, but just makes sure you smooth it well on the strands apply to small sections at a time so you coat well. Airdry then use heat. Poofiness stays at bay.

I use JF Frizz Ease even when I straighten my natural hair. My hair stays straight till I wash it.

When using hairspray on my straightened hair, I have to use the kind in an aerosol can with a continuous stream. Every time I try the pump kinds, my hair gets frizzy.

I always use serums or light oils to try & tame my hair. My only suggestion is that if you do use hair spray, make sure it's not water based !

Thanks. I am definitely going to try this. I think part of my problem has also been that I am pretty heavy handed with products and so I never get the intended effect.

I use Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.
I think it depends on how you are styling it too. I like to curl my straightened hair, then pin curl it, then use the hair spray while it is still in pin curls. After I take it down and have styled it like I want it, I give it another spray to try to make it stay 'big' and voluminous.

**But you may be having another issue if your hair is getting puffy/frizzed in low/no humidity situations...like not using enough heat, need a different flat iron, etc...
