Has anyone successfully regrow their hairline and temples without using products such as Profective and ORS?

Right now, the only thing that doesn't irritate my headline to cause dandruff, and that seems to be working is LeKair Castor Oil (but it is loaded with petroleum jelly and mineral oil). But it is working for me, and my temple is filling back in (I think my boar bristle brush ripped out some of it). I tried oils and stuff, but it just made the area, along with my entire head, itch and flake like crazy.

when I was a youngster I had braid extensions that took ALL my hair line. My mom massaged fantasia i.c. treatment in that area daily. Before I knew it, my hair had grown back. This stuff doesn't moisturize, but it will thicken and strengthen the hair.

Dejuan42,

The castor oil definitely does it, but slowly. You might want to try Nioxin, expensive but considered as a definite. Also Frenchees, it stinks but know for a fact it will regrow chemically induced hair loss. You are supposed to leave it in three days wash it out and re-apply. But I have been experimenting by putting it in at night and washing it out the next morning.

I apply Hollywood Beauty Castor oil or Jason Jojoba oil to my temple and hairline. My hair line has always been then (genetic) The castor and jojoba oils have made noticeable improvement thus far. My hairline is gradually getting thicker.

elizablue-- where can you buy frenchees and do you know of any websites that sell it/describe it?

i didnt get no results from nioxin i had the follicle booster and everything im starting to think this loss is permanent but the dermatologist wont tell me

When I had micro braids the lady put them in way to tight and they fell out along the sides. I sprayed the area daily with curl activator and it grew right back in.

Yeah, Dejuan, it's a a regular castor oil grease, so it gives me no problem.

@ luvhair:

Check this thread for more info on Frenchee. I've never seen it online... It's manufactured by Scientific Research Products in Ft. Lauderdale, FL--the same compnay that makes LeKair Cholesterol and Hindu Sheen.

I was reading an article in Essence mag. (old issue, the one with Anglea Basset on the cover), regarding things you can do for thinning areas. One of them was: add a few peppermint EO drops to your moisturizing conditioner and massage it in for 5 - 10 mins. I tried this last night to my hairline and temple and it felt so good. I will find a way to incorporate this into my regime.

Most Asian beauty supply stores. I have not seen it on line, but do a search on it because there are a couple of threads here about it, maybe one of them talks about getting it online.

I bought Vit E softgels yesterday for my temples. Im going to spray w/ distilled water and mix the Vit E w/ castor oil from now on. I am looking for the peppermint EO.

You may want to try some Bhrami oil to strengthen the hair and encourage new growth. Also, Emu oil is said to promote growth. You could also try WGO
