Hair Vitamin Dilemmas?

Just finished my 90-day supply of Nioxin and I don't think I'll continue it. Just so-so results (I think). So, I'm trying to find online reviews of hair vitamins/supplements and cannot find anything!

So, LHCF ladies.....what hair vitamin would you choose if you were told you could only use one for the next 365-days? What would it be?

If I could only use one vitamin for the next 365 days I would choose my Super B-Complex vitamin! It does NOTHING for my hair growth but I must say that in my 1 1/2 years of taking vitamins I don't get any menstrual cramps and my weight has been maintained, even when I was eating out 3x a day!

So forget the hair, I'm taking vitamins for other benefits! ;)

I would recommend a prenatal vitamin. That's what I use now. Plus, it has almost every necessary nutrient in one pill. Good luck to you :)

I would take a Hair Skin Nails vitamin w/ a nice amount of Biotin in it.
Although it is basically a multi---my hair has really been responding to them.

I'd choose MSM, which is a mineral. It speeds up growth, improves thickness, texture, reduces shedding.

Just one hair vitamin, not including other kinds of vitamins and minerals?

Not necessarily, Isis. I just wanted to develop a simple vit regimen rather than swallowing 15 pills a day. So, I do MSM powder daily and, if I could keep it down to 2-4 pills of something daily, that would be ideal. What are your suggestions?

OK. Anyone tried these? Reviews?

I have taken these before...I really didn't notice that much of a change in my hair...

Is the "One Daily" a multi? Thanks dlewis! I'm going over to google this product and check out the nutritional facts on it.

I would have to go back to a prenatal vitamin..i saw increased growth when i used them more than what ive seen in any vitamins...and believe me i have taken them all just to name a few:

HF37-- been taking since October and havent seen any difference
Nioxin -- took for 1 month and didnt see any kind of difference

I think thats what im going back to i just cancelled my auto shipment for HF37 and im going to use up the rest of what i have and go back to the prenatal, vitamin e, and biotin..it was way cheaper and didnt mind taking them because their werent that many to take...

i still have some that i havent been using consistently

Shen Min
Ultra Nourishair
Silica

but im going to use them up..

Thanks ladies! Seems that Biotin and Prenatals are the winners. I'm already doing (and in love with MSM powder). Couldn't find the "OneSource" brand at ALL ! Where'd they come from!?! :ohwell: Any other votes? Most effective vitamin for hair in YOUR experience.

When I've gone to GNC and looked at the MSM vitamins, they've told me that they were for bones and joints? not hair...are these that same MSM vitamins that everyone's taking and that you're refering to?

I would choose Ultra Hair Thick Shake. I consider it a liquid hair vitamin. I think it's working...I would take that along with my multi-vitamin.

I've used One Source vitamins, the multi vitamin gave me plenty of energy, but I didn't notice much in the growth area w/the Hair skin and nails vit. you can purchase them from Wal-mart. I would choose, a protein shake/hair shake it contains everything if you ask me, Biotin, protein, amino acids, etc.. all in one or two glasses a day.
