Can someone tell me what hair type I am because I have no clue. My hair is thick and thats all I know

Could be 4a or 4b, hard to tell. Your hair is relaxed, right?

Without seeing your new growth it's hard to tell.

You'd need a picture of your newgrowth unstretched, and dry.
sometimes you can tell from wet pictures.
preferably an 1inch or more.

I have pics in my fotki but my hair is relaxed. I am 3 1/2 weeks since my lask relaxer but since starting this board my new growth is so soft its hard to tell guess I'll wait till closer to my touch up date.

I agree with SG. OP, if your hair feels softer that means that it's healthier now and your regimen is working. So that's a good thing.
