Hi ladies! i'm new here and just finished reading an article where someone stated that they trained their hair to be straight by using heat. how can you train your hair to be different than it really is? if its possible, then could you train it to be thinner, less curlier, etc?:look:

It is caused by heat damage. If you straighten your hair excessively without taking precautions, such as heat protectant or temperature control, your hair will become "trained".

^^^Exactly. It's just heat damage. Heat breaks the bonds in your hair temporarily. Use enough heat at a high enough temperature and the bonds are broken permanently. You can't train your hair to be straight, but you can burn it straight.
