Hair, too soft

I had a relaxer put in my hair at the start of September by a professional (I had been natural for 8 years). Now since then, my hair is able to be worn straight by flat ironing since it was cut blunt, so it doesn't look bad with uneven ends, but what I am wondering about is that I am unable to hold a curl at all. I have tried with a curling iron, pin curls, and rollers. I will have the curls for about 30-60 minutes and then they are gone (and that time frame is a long time). So my hair seems too soft. Has anyone ever experienced this? And if so, what did you do or do you suggest for me to get some sort of curl to my ends?

What kind of relaxer did you get?

Yea that happens to me right after a relaxer, but it goes back to normal after I do a protein treatment.

maybe you need to use just a litle bit of curl wax when you use the curling iron.
