OK, I stole the pic from DangerouslyShy's signature, but...How would you go about getting relaxed hair to have this kind of wave? Bantu knots? Loose twists out?

Bantu knots would work, if you don't let your hair completely dry with them in.

loose french braid
twists

are you referring to the length too!? b/c i think the key would be to keep whatever you do loose. :)

You can acheive it by doing a braidout or a twistout on freshly clean hair that has already been dried straight - airdried or blow-dried. Leave the braids or twists in for only 2-3 hours. The waves will be loose rather than tight, even if the braids are tight. I've been able to get this look on occasion except mine would have a little more texture since it isn't starting out completely straight.:)
