Hair sticks together

Does anyone else have this problem?

I just relaxed Saturday and normal after a relaxer I don't have this issue. It normally occurs after a couple of washes. I finger comb and gently detangle, but when I attempt to comb my hair it is tangled again. The hair strands just seem to stick together.

In the past, I have tried blowdrying and flat ironing, but I still have the same problem. This has been an ongoing issue for my hair, and it is really hindering my progress.

Any comments and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I am not relaxed, but hopefully someone else will respond.

How's your protein game? Are your strands feeling mushy? If so, you may need to clarify and do an Aphogee 2 step.

Hopefully someone else will give you advice :D good luck!

Thank you for responding ajargon02!

My hair is not mushy, but always considerably dry. I just relaxed so I did the mid-protein step. Clarifying might be a possibility.

I would suggest getting your thyroid checked.

My hair used to do the same thing, it was ALWAYS super dry and the strands stuck together like velcro. It turned out that I have hypothyroid and I ended up losing a LOT of hair because of it.
