Hair Setting Lotion

Just wondering what type of setting lotion you all feel is the best type for holding curls for rollersetting without drying out the hair.

Perm Repair is fantastic! Hair So New is also great but it gives a softer hold. Mizani also has a keeper. Biolage has a thermal active setting spray for wet or dry hair that gives great shine. I also love to use a little dab of mouse with my leave in conditioner and it works just as well. Just be careful of alcohol.

I use lottabody creme for wrapping and setting.

Hi Sweetcocoa
Can you please let me know what are the ingredients in lottabody creme wrap? Or anyone that knows can answer this post. Thanks

Hi Mirrormirror,

The ingredients for the lottabody cream:

water, pvp, polyquaternium-37, propylene glycol dicaprylte/dicaprate, prolylene glycol, hydrolyzed silk, styrene/pvp copolymer, silicone quaternium-13, ppg-1-trideceth-6, disodium edta, fragrance, methylparaben, diazolidinyl urea.

I loved the Lottabody Creme Wrap for wrapping my hair! I had never even heard of it before I started visiting the hair boards. I still have a jar around here someplace. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
I haven't set my hair in ages, but I used to like Fantasia Liquid Mousse and Lottabody Wrappin n' Tappin. I know the Fantasia doesn't have alcohol in it; I'm not sure about the Wrappin n' Tappin...
And like Miss Montserrat, I used to mix it with a little leave-in conditioner. I liked Infusium 23. A friend of mine gets great results using the Infusium alone as a setting lotion.

Thanks Pebbles. I would have had to wait until I got home(unless I found it on their website) to get the ingredients.

Sassygirl....I tried it as a wrapping lotion(kinda)for the first time this Sunday. I got tired of sitting under the hair dryer. My ends were still wet, so I used a little of this along with some Elasta QP Mango butter and went to bed. /images/graemlins/sleeping.gif I got very nice results. I haven't tried a wet wrap in a while cause I usually end up with no body. I may have to try it though with the Lottabody Creme.

I USE LOTTABODY SETTING LOTION....I JUST BOUGHT THE CREME WRAP I WILL BE USING IT THIS WEEKEND!!
BUT LOTTABODY IS GREAT AND IT DOES NOT LEAVE YOUR HAIR HARD...MY HAIR ALWAYS COMES OTU SOFT AND BOUNCY BUT MY CURLS HOLD. I SET MY HAIR SATURDAY AND I STILL HAVE CURLS AND I WRAO MY HAIR EVERY NIGHT!!!

Lottabody Creme doesn't work for me /images/graemlins/frown.gif.

I tried it after Sweetcocoa suggested it and it came out like all the other setting lotions that failed me. I guess I have to ALWAYS use leave-in conditioners when I rollerset.
