Hair Serums for4a/b Naturals

Are there any naturals that use serums to get shine on natural hair ? If so, please state the type of serum you use and hair type.


I'm 4a/b natural and everytime I use butters and Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel ( everyday ). I wear my hair in a bun and use the scarf trick to get waves. Yet, my hair look dry. I was wondering if the serums would add shine ?

Even if I clarify or shampoo, with the butters and gel it still looks dry. Has anyone found a solution ?

I haven't found a serum for naturals but I use coconut oil and use the same method for my bun. The coconut oil gives my 4a natural hair great sheen and soft waves.

The serums i've tried do nothing for my natural hair so i'm assuming that they just aren't for me and maybe geared towards straighter hair and looser curls. I get good "sheen" from ic fantasia gel with sparklelites and from using gel/product on freshly washed and conditioned hair.
