Hair Secrets

hey everyone, I am sure that some of us have some secrets that makes growing out a little bit easier. Maybe we could all share with each other.

Here is mine. I use pantyhose srunchies. I just cut up some old panytyhose into little circles. I use these cause they have never broken any of my hairs, whever I wear my hair up, I use the sruchies, and do my baggy.

- It's not really a secret, but I sleep with my hair covered with a satin cap EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, lol. I haven't missed a night since i started over 3 yrs ago! This keeps my hair from drying out.

- I wet my hair every day. Not "drenched", but more than a "mist". This also keeps my curls from drying out & revives my curls for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc day hair.

- I stay stay away from petroletum, sd alcohol, mineral oil

- there's more, but these are the top ones.

Thanks to this board I learnt about the damaging effects of petroleum and now I only use it for my baggy and my hair is thiriving

be patient.
try one thing at a time so you know what works FOR YOU.
use a wide tooth comb.
be gentle.
use quality products.
wrap up your hair at night w/satin or silk.

hey carmella, I am still looking for the perfect widetooth comb. I have one, but I am looking for wider cause I see some riped hairs sometimes.

omg, I just started doing this last week and I am so sold, I'm getting rid of my leftover Goody ouchless elastics, pantyhose rules!

it is so funny, i used to use the same exact sruchies until I discovered panthose srunchies, they are the truth!!! no broken hairs
