Hair looks better in person than in pics? Anyone

I know some of you would say that your hair looks better in pics but I think I am one whose hair looks better in person. Does anyone else have this issue?

I do. I always "think" my hair looks cute until I see a photo and it looks like a shapeless mess. I think it's because my curl pattern doesnt come through in the photos and also I don't have a "cut" so there's no real shape when i wear it out. It looks fab in real life, but not so good in photos.

Definitely. My hair looks so much better in person. Besides, i have a big head that always takes over any picture

I'd agree. When I take pictures I have to make sure I'm at the right angle or my hair looks see through if I'm in front of a light source.

yea, i think my hair looks better in person, as well.
you can't really see any dimension to it in pics, because my hair is so dark :(

photos don't accurately capture the bulk well and it sure doesn't show the many textures or coarseness of my hair :ohwell:

photos seem to make it look all light and fluffy and that is not the case at all.

how it looks in person is subjective. :lachen:

Ha! I think I am just the opposite. When I take a fotki pic, I'm like aww shoot, it didn't look that good in the mirror. But still, I'm at the growing stage not the "trying to maintain my healthy locks stage" so anything looks better to me in a photo...Idk.

Mine looks better in person as well. In pics it may be alright but in person that would be a fab hair day. Also my hair looks hard and crispy in photos in person it's really soft (lately).

ditto. especially since i turn the flash on in a lot of my pics... so my hair looks very jheri-curlish :nono: IRL it looks soft and fluffy, the coils aren't gelled down or covered in goop to make them super-shiny and they are not "frozen." :lachen:

THAT WOULD BE ME!! FIRST OFF, I AM STILL TAKING PICTURES OFF OF MY 3 YEAR OLD CELL PHONE AND WHEN I DOWNLOAD IT FROM E-MAIL IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP. I NEED TO STOP BEING A DINASOAR AND GET A DOGGONE DIGITAL CAMERA.

It looks better in person. I don't think camera's can handle the texture and beauty of our hair yet. The textures are too complex to translate. :spinning:

Yep, my hair looks fuller in person, and longer. My face looks thinner in person, my make up looks fly-er in person.

Pictures suck!

Depdends on the style. Sometimes it looks better in photos sometimes in person. Usually it looks better in person when the style is less defined.

ETA: For example, the hairstyle in the second photo of my siggy looks much better in person because the curls are less defined and just blend in in the photo.

Definitely looks better in person - you can see the details of my texture, and my parts don't look like they are the size of the grand canyon.
I'm sure I could GET a picture that shows my hair off in all of it's glory, but I'd need a much better camera, and a tripod, and some excellent lighting.

Fear not...I am in the same boat! Eveything looks better in person (my hair, face, body) I hate taking pics cuz if I take 15, 14 of them will be *****.

Yeah, me too. I look in the mirror and think I'm hot! Then I snap a pic and look at it and I'm like :perplexed . Maybe the picture is how I really look . . . uh oh. :lachen:

If I'm fresh from the salon my hair looks great in pics.

If I did it at home, it never translates well in pix, especially the volume, it always looks flat in the pix. You don't know how many 'takes' I have to have just to get fotki worthy pix.:nono:
