I have been transitioning for about 14 months now. I have tons of new growth underneath but it seems like I have nowhere near as much on top. Do you know why this would be? It's really disturbing because I am ready to do the BC but I don't want my hair to be as short as it is up top so it seems like will have to transition for another year to get to a lenght that I am comfortable with.

I know when my NG comes in in the crown area it's much coarser and shrinks more than other areas, maybe it's a difference in texture and that area shrinks more. Did you try to stretch it out and see how long it is stretched? and then compare it to the other areas.

mine is the same way. but, when i actually measured the hair (i used a hair comb as a ruler) it's actually almost the same length as the hair near the nape.

the stuff at the crown just seems to grow slower because it's higher up on the scalp.

could this be your case, that it just seems to be shorter?

That could be the case is that it just seems to be shorter. I will actually try and measure to see if the are the same length.

By the way, I love your hair!!
