Why does a hot oil mix or rinse cause my hair to shed more?

Why is it sooooo hard to keep slick ends?

Why can't my hair remain glorious for more than a day after a mean rollerset?

I am tired of bunning...but!..what else can I do to reach my goal?:ohwell:

aaahhhhh....:wallbash:

My ends got thined out in the matter of a week. I was sooo close to APL too. Now I just want to cut off 3 inches. If I had good sheers it would have been gone last night.

I really want to cut my hair!

My longer layers are growing out much faster than my shorter ones. Well is feel that way. As a result, myhair feels then except for the sections that have the same length all over. I can hide it by keeping my hair curly or in an up-do, but I am getting sick of it.

Please help me to stay away from the hair shears!!! :nono:

Having layers in my hair is annoying. It would be much easier to deal and look so much better if it were all one length. I'll start trimming it even once it hits BSL.

I agree with you. My layers are getting worse the longer my hair gets.

After each touchup, I dislike my hair more and more. Well, let me restate that - I love my hair and I love that it is easier to put up as it gets longer, but styling it while wearing it down is getting harder as it grows out.

I am so tempted to cut.

Why did an egg turn my natural roots into the sahara but made my relax ends feel so lucsious?
Why can't spring come sooner so that I can BC already?

Girl, my hair was growing out the same way and I got it cut to even it up (about two months ago) but don't listen to me though.

I think I am going to wait it out this time, but after my next touchup give myself a trim.

It is hard because I am finally starting to see length progress. But that is pointless if my hair does not look the way I want.

I am enjoying how easy it is to put my hair up, though. I need that for the winter. Maybe I should trim it once it warms back up. Here, it has not even started getting really cold yet - I still have December, January and February to get over.

That's what I've been doing HD. Don't cut or you'll probably regret it. Just let it grow...I saw the most recent pic of your growth and it looks good. Just get creative with the styles. Once spring hits you can like twist it half up and wear the back out from time to time.

I think dillard is great inspiration when it comes to the layered grow out styles.

I felt like I didn't have a choice but to cut it and honestly the only thing that I do regret is that I have to work harder to get my hair up in the back now. But your like me HoneyDew. I like my hair to have a nice shape to it as it is growing out and not be long but look jacked up. Do you think those layers will catch up? I knew mine wouldn't-my hair doesn't grow like that.

Why is my scalp itching like no ones business!? Why does is my left side long and luscious but the right looks nuts? I have cut my hair (3 inches last year) to even it up and it is right back to the mess it was. Ahh well...

WHHHHHHHHHHHHHY am i addicted to braids?? ive been wearing them almost none stop for 4 yrs now and i want to start wearing my hair out and enjoying it :ohwell:

I saw a leave in conditioner by KMS on sale at Sally's. It was originally 12+ reduced to 2.99. I initially bought one bottle to try out. I loved it as it made my 2 months post relaxer new growth extremely soft like a baby's hair and made it lay flat when slicked back. I went back the next day and bought another 10 bottles as the lady told me they had discontinued this product and at 2.99 it was very cheap compared to the original price. Also, I thought I had found something that could replace the discontinued AVEDA elixir I normally used. Why the hell did I buy 10 bottles?!!! After one month of use I noticed my ends were starting to feel limper and weaker than usual, and I also started to get breakage (on top of the usual shedding I normally experience). I decided to read the ingredients. Only to find out that it contains sodium hydroxide!:nono: I thought the manufacturer must have made a mistake! I did a search and found out that some hair condioners do have sodium hydroxide. Even though it is a small amount, it does eventually lead to hair damage. I can't return them! This has caused setback. I have been stretching for 3 months now and was quite happy with my progress, initially. Now I have thin ends from this bloody product:wallbash: I had to cut some of my hair off as it looked soo straggly. I need to stop being a such a product junkie.

Why oh why does caring for your hair have to take SO LONG?? I know I don't have to tell yall about how long it takes to do hair. Between washing, gently combing, DCing, moisturizing/sealing, blowdrying/airdrying, and then protectively styling- or any kind of styling for that matter. It takes SO long...:ohwell:

Uh-Uh, please don't cut! I saw your siggy pic the other day and you made nice progress. I like your layers, but I feel ya as I too want to grow out mine. Stay patient, from the looks of things you are doing well, and they will grow out!

Well I personally had to cut my own hair about an inch in the back, because for some reason the back was thinning right there in the middle. I changed the way I tie my scarf at night and I moisturize the back more, I also do not texturize the back of my hair so that it's stronger (natural). I hope this helps.

I was also irritated because I bought a knockoff CHI at Sally's on Sat., went home tried it and hated it, love my Sedu but I've had it for 3 years and thought it was time to upgrade. I returned the knockoff only to find that the stores are having a contest and that's why they were sooo cheap and that the plates weren't really full ceramic so I was "had" so to speak.

Oh well, we live and learn. I'm holding out for my FHI. :yep: My Sedu has been lasting this long, I don't think I have anything to worry about.

Why does my hair hate so many products that are so cheap and work so well for it seems like everyone else? I love a bargain!

Why does my hair have to do this wierd Jekyll/Hyde thing when the DC weather flips from warm to cold/windy

why do my sides/front grow so slow?

why even with a Pibbs does it take my hair at least 2 hours to dry?:wallbash:

I am trying to keep rocking the scarf and slouchy beret, but sometimes I feel like such a bum wearing them, unless it is like close to freezing outside.

I think the Generic Sally's CHI is the same as the FHI. I saw the Generic display one today and on the label inside it says BeautyMax 207RVI - THAT IS THE SAME AS THE FHI! :look: I was going to start a post about it actually.

The label on the box says that is is not made by CHI, but Beautymax does make the FHI. Here is the site: http://www.beautymax.ca/html/home.php

Maybe the new generation FHI irons are made/sold by a different company, but the FHI 207RVI is the SAME as the generic CHI from Sallys.

Edited to add:

Here is the BeautyMax usa site: http://www.beautymaxusa.com/

Look where is goes to! Right to the FHI Heat site: http://www.fhiheat.com/

:wallbash: I regret my trip to the Dominican salon, they were so rough!!! the washer used her nails on my scalp...ouch....the rollerset lady combed from root to tip ripping out soooo much hair....what I regret the most is letting the blowout lady "trim" my hair.....my hair feels soooo short now....I still have breakage...you can see so many short areas where it broke off from the combing....:cry2:they really set me back because I was almost mbl. my relatives are always asking me why did I cut my hair because it is so apparent it wasn't just a "trim"

don't get me wrong, my hair did look great...but it wasn't worth it for me...maybe I need to try another salon (it will be a long time though, I'm still traumatized by my experience!!)...I need someone who will give my hair the tlc it needs when it's being managed!! I'm tenderheaded:ohwell:, so much so my mother gave up styling my hair at age 7:lachen:and showed me how to part and cornrow it myself!!
