Wealth magnet
I was in the Aventura Mall in Miami and i spotted this woman with hair down to her posterior. I had no choice
I stopped her and said your hair is soooo beautiful i love
i am sure you get compliments on your hair everyday she said most people who dont know her say its a weave but i could tell right away that it was hers. I asked her what is
her secret she said she uses no heat period until she goes for her retouches every 7 weeks i was shocked that she said that. No vitamins, no protein, no eoils nothing. I then said to her how often do you wash your hair she said every
7 weeks i said get the hell outta here no way. She said yes way. She said she used to have really bad scalp were it would itch until she bled. She tried everything nothing helped. She stop washing her hair she said everyone produces oil in their scalp and that we dont need to add anything else i said i understand well aware of that but your scalp need to be clean to. I wasnt really sure if she was a 3c or a 4a-4b but guys i was wishing i had a camera to take her pic it was simply marvelous. You should have seen i was so impressed. What works for others doesnt always work for me there is just no way i am going to wash my hair every 7 weeks. OOh by the way her nails were long too and her skin was flawless .

Wow, I wish that could be me. I spend so much time on my hair, with all the washing, condition washing, depp conditioning, air drying, I'd be so happy not to have to do that. But I know my hair, it needs all this attention!

Wow...lucky her. Sounds like that's working for her. I now know I HAVE to wash my hair at least twice a week for it to stay healthy looking and not go dry.

WOW

, every 7 weeks? I am finding that kind of hard to believe, I mean wouldn't your scalp and hair smell really bad by then?

There is no way I could go 7 weeks without washing my hair.

You said she gets a re-touch every 7 weeks and shampoos her hair every 7 weeks. I take it she only gets it washed when she gets a re-touch then? Oh my.

Couldn't do it. Lately my hair looks best when it's washed or at least con-washed. Before the board I washed every two weeks, but now after 5-7 days my hair needs to be washed to look good/feel good.

yes she only washes when she gets a retouch i didnt want to believe her but she swares by it she says the oil in her
protects her scalp maybe she doesnt sweat

Alot of us workout and we could never even attempt to go that long without some water hitting the strands

My hair is so much shinier after washing! I admit, I used to go long times without washing my hair, too but I don't think it was beneficial! But hey, whatever works!

I work every week, and the sweat would make my hair dry out. Plus it would just smell bad if I didn't. I must wash and rinse.

The washing the hair every 7 weeks is out of the question for me. My hair would be all funky from my workouts and it'll probably start itching or something.

that is amazing. I con wash my hair everyday , eysterday i didnt do it and my hair felt so nasty ... 7 weeks ? wow

Mitcy, good that you talked to that Lady, maybe, she's lucky that she has strong hair. I think you should stick to what works for your hair. I have been rinsing my hair at least twice a day, which is always in twists and it has grown considerably, I wash my hair now every two weeks, some people don't tell you the whole truth, some are ashamed to say that they take vitamins, if they do, or they have deep conditioning treatments, they say they do absolutely nothing which is not true. It is good when you see people with beautiful hair, compliment them by all means, and ask questions and don't change your routine if it is working for you.

Be patience and work consistently and your hair will get very long indeed.

Yes, I HAVE to wash my hair every 7 days or it will look stringy and oily.

No way!! Wouldn't work for me, may work for her. I'm sure there's more to her hair story though. Maybe it's genetics or something who knows. I think washing my hair more often (especially conditioner washes), a few times a week has been the best thing for my hair lately. I don't even have to put anything on my scalp anymore. So...I'll agree with her there, that the scalp produces it's own oils.

7 WEEKS!!! I'd look like Medussa if I went more than 7 days without washing my hair!

Do you think she meant "shampoo" every 7 weeks as opposed to running water through it more frequently? Maybe she just didn't differentiate between the two. If I tried to go 7 weeks without at least rinsing ir conditioning, I would scratch myself bald. My scalp starts crawling after 3 days.

I don't doubt that she goes that long without washing her hair. I was in a boarding school with a girl who never washed her hair. She did "clean" it though, using grease and cotton wool. She'd push the teeth of a comb through cotton wool or tissue and put a lot of oil/grease on her hair then comb through. She'd change the tissue/cotton wool as it got covered with dirty grease and repeat with clean tissue/cotton wool until no dirt showed on it. She'd continually add grease/oil to her hair so the cotton/tissue would glide. I don't remember what she did about her scalp. But yes, we never saw her wash her hair once in the three months we were in school, so that's 12 weeks we are certain about. She swore she washed it once or twice a year when her mom did it for her.

While she didn't have hair cascading down to her bum, she did have the longest hair (Type 3C/4A) in our dorm. So it's not impossible to make do without washing. It's just a wee bit scary.

My best friend in the UK never manipulated her Jheri curl when she wore one in the early 90s, except to gently put some of it up in a pony tail and tease the tendrils with her fingers after spraying or applying gel. And no manipulation for her meant no washing...She left that for her stylist to do. So it was no washing until her treatments...be they 2 weeks apart or 4. Her hair grew long alright, but used to drive her very patient stylist nuts because of all the tangles wanna-be matts she'd have to wrestle with at each visit. But my buddy was determined that she wasn't gonna let one hair break from manipulation.

The only way i could do 7 weeks is w/ extensions and even then ur scalp gets really funky. My hair gets stuff and nasty after 3 days....7 weeks without washing sounds like an old myth I heard that if you don't wash ur hair, the drandruff will make ur hair grow

I've worn cornrows as long as 4 weeks without washing it. It did not smell probably because I did not put anything in it. No grease or oil. I had no problem with detangling it or anything but everyone is diferent. I don't sweat a lot.

7 weeks! thats nasty!!! You know her hair and scalp must smell nasty!!! Unless she's using something that we don't know about.

HOwever, Im sure I would've marveled at her hair! I love long curly hair! Its sexy!

I used to go to school with a girl who did that. She went 3 months w/o washing her hair. She only had it washed when she went to the salon. YUCK!!
