Hello,

Can anyone recommend any good hair gels that will make your hair look smooth and not flake up? or what about pomades?

I like ORS Twist and Lock Gel. I also like Fantasia Frizz Buster Gel.

IC olive oil gel.

It's like 4 dollars, gives a strong but not crunchy hold and it's moisturizing. It also doesn't flake. It's the best of the IC fantasia gels imo.

I agree I love IC green and blue use often. I love how it makes my hair lay down, I love the curls it gives me and versatility. Its a keeper I have 3 jars and plan to get two more this weekend since I go through them.

I LOVE Eco Styler Super Protein Styling Gel. It's alcohol free and non-flaking. It has glycerin in in so its moisturizing to some degree. I use the one with the white top (Hold 7) but they have one stronger, it has a black top (Hold 10) but I just never tried it cuz I saw the white one first. I really like it because it doesn't dry out my hair, it makes my edges lay down even at 16 weeks post. It's really cheap too. You can get a huge juge that will really last cuz you don't need alot for $5. I got the 16 oz jug gor $2 and it's lasted me over 3 years. It's still half full! You just don't need alot at all cuz it really works. It's just my fave.

I too love the ECO styler protein gel. I use the clear hold 10 and I am a natural head. It doesn't flake or make my hair hard or crunchy.

Fantasia Frizz Buster Straightening Gel.

I've been using this forever. It's the only styling gel I use. I love it for smoothing down my front when I pull my hair back into a pony.

Mill Creek Botanicals Extra Body Styling Gel-- I got this from the health store and it is very, very good!! It provides a light hold while keep my hair soft. No hardness or flakes whatsoever. It is natural, alcohol free, and it also has keratin and silk proteins in it to provide conditioning benefits in addition to biotin.

You can get it at Walgreens and other places as well...I just bought a new jar of it tonight.

I have used FOTE Aloe Vera Gel for ponytails as well as my wash n' go. It lays my hair down without one strand out of place and it's moisterizing at the same time.
