Hair Friendly Barrettes

Where can you buy hair friendly barrettes and how do you know they are hair friendly? Are all metal barrettes NON hair friendly?

I am asking b/c I've recently started using only barrettes to make my ponytails b/c they are so much easier than having to grasp my hair while I twist a scrunchy around it a couple of times. But I worry about the metal.

The barrettes that have the stick that go through them would only hold 1/4 of my hair!

Anyone?? Online or offline is fine.

Have you checked at tenderheaded.com?

I don't think I've seen hair barrettes that would be hair friendly. I'll have to double check the next time I'm in the hair accessory aisle.

Yeah, I checked tenderheaded.com. They only have the kind with the stick that goes through. Not made for thick/natural hair.

I know that Scrunci makes some products for thick hair. I'll look to see if I find any barrettes that don't look like they'll pull your hair out.
