Hair drying fast....Good or Bad?

Natural Gang Gang Gang
My hair dries super fast. I just washed my DC out less than 10 mins ago and my ends are already dry. Is that a good or bad thing? Please let me know ladies, I tried to do a search not much help.:nono:

That is not good girl!

It means your hair is overly porous and is sucking up moisture like a freakin sponge. You should definitely do an ACV rinse or use Roux Porosity Control to remedy the situation. HTH!

I agree with the above. You need to get your porosity in check, it's not good for your hair to dry so quickly.

I just did a protein treatment today.....well I mixed 2 step with Nexxus Humectress.

Am I going to have to cut my ends?

I wouldn't imagine you would have to cut the ends. That seems a little extreme. My hair dries fast, and I also thought it was porosity. However, the 69 degree temperature and vent over my head (in the bathroom) didn't really help the situation. I usually try to rule out the obvious solutions then work my way up.

Maybe I need to take that into consideration. The air is on 75 and the ceiling fan is on medium and the fan is on but not pointing towards me. But my hair has been drying fast for a while now. Maybe my shirt is sucking the water up fast or something.

My hair is drying a lot faster now too even though it's a whole lot thicker from not shedding during my pregnancy, but I contribute the faster drying to it being summer and the house is a little warmer.

When you wet your hair does it easily absorb the water? My hair dries quickly too and it takes a bit to get soaking wet.

I know this may sound dumb what make what porosity too high?:look:

Regular wear and tear to your hair can cause your porosity to change. Anything that damages hair such as relaxing, pressing, combing, brushing, etc... can start to cause porosity issues. The degree in which you will have them will depend in what type of hair you have and its natural cuticle tightness and abundance and your regime.

I was having this problem about 3 weeks ago. Its 100% better again, I don't know exactly what caused it but I fixed it by saturating my hair with Roux Porosity Control under a clear shower/processing cap for about 1 hour and a half a couple co washes during the next couple days sealed the deal on that =).
