I do - and I have found this helped my haire TREMENDOUSLY!!!

I think a guide can help!
Things you can do:
1. Take pictures - I think obviously we do this, but
you might want to take pics of hairstyles and even lost or shed hair... that can help in your assessment of how your hair is doing.

2. ON Wash Days - WRITE the DATE first!!! Then put down your routine, pre poos, post poos, products used, etc..all of it. This has helped me - because if something does or does not Work - I can immediately figure out how and why! This can cut down on the Rampant PJism....:lachen:

3. ON Style days - Take note of products used. Again this will help you understand what and wht does NOT work on your hair.

4. THIS CUTS down on PJism!!! - Because as you learn what works - you won't bounce around with products so much. you will toss or give stuff away - and your wallet will be much happier!

5. THIS CUTS down on FRUSTRATION!!! When I said "nothing works!!" - that was not true - one just has to work to figure out what does....:wallbash:

6. Celebrate the victories!!!! ALWAYS!:evilbanana:
I am learning what mixtures work and dont, but my routine is pretty precise becasue I know what I did last time...

7. This is not about Length Checks....This is more about health of hair checks!

Hope this helps someone!!!!

You rock. This is something that definitely helps out all around. It's nice to look back over the year and see how your regimen/products have changed.

I have a journal as well...tonight I will update my latest fun as I sit under my pibbs..to flexirod or not to flexirod tonight...not in the mood for HAM hair like it sometimes does but wish me luck!

:yep: I have a journal, I love my journal - it helps me keep track. It's kind of amusing going back and reading old things, and realizing how I've been able to learn so much and overcome obstacles..

Yes I have one. In it I keep track of my progress, products that I like, dislike and products that are on my PJ list. Also I record procedures of hair care that I really want to remember, like for self-relaxing. I have received some real good tips from these ladies.

I have one. I use it to document everything I do to my hair. I sometimes copy entries from it to my online journals/blog.

I write everything in my fotki journals. I keep one public journal to log relaxer and henna dates, and there's another public journal for henna.

Then there's two private journals for good reference links and ayurvedic info and recipes to try. The other private journal has entries for all my whining and complaining, successes and failures, and the styles/techniques I want to try.

My hair diary - for me is different than my Hair Journal.

Sorry if this was bugging some...............

How do you organize your journal as opposed to your diary?

My Journal only contains my regimen and I have put that regimen in 'cycles' - while my diary - which is on my PC and is private - places random thoughts - specific thoughts about a product - times I left heat on, immediate reactions, etc.

I am new to the site - So I did not know others were doing this here. I have not had lots of responses with questions and such - So - again. I am sorry if this bugged some. I thought it might help.

Oh, ok. I see now.

Your thread didn't bug me at all. I was just curious as to how you organize everything...ok, ok...I'm nosey.

ETA: I really need to review my journals more often. I have a bad habit of wanting to try a new technique/ product, but then I forget and buy the my usual product or do the same routine again. :ohwell:
