What r the steps that some of yall take to color your hair? I want to know the whole process. My hair color currently is brown. The stylist told me I need to wait until the end of the month to color my hair since I got my hair relaxed 09/02/2008. My hair is in good condition.

I think the deep black is so pretty and when it is healthy is has a glow like no other.

Also what is a good safe color. I don't want to henna.

Nobody does anything else to there hair? All u do is use a rinse. No protein no follow up after care for the hair?

Help me out................

BUMPIN FOR REPLIES...........

The other week I used KISS Express Semi-perm after seeing that a lot of others use it around here. I really don't have any advice to give because that was the first time I've dyed my hair in 5 yrs. I left it on about 25 minutes and then dc with Cholesteral. I have good shine and the color very took well.

Well my color reggie is pretty much the same for my relaxer reggie.

2-7 days before my process i do a Hardcore Protein treatment... (usually Aphogee) then i moisturize and bun til the process...

if i get it done professionally i wait til my next wash and do a deep condish with an egg (i use emergencia)

I maintain with a DC (light protein) mixed with an oil (castor oil is my fav)

I dont know if any color is "good" but the new Perfect 10 is supposed to be good. If your doing a black I recommend using a rinse cause its helps you hair instead of harming it. also if you change your mind it is easy to take out (I have had a major headache trying to get my black demi perm out).

oh and Garnier Nutriesse is what i used to use back in the day

i just finished a dye job... i've had the WORST time finding a permanent black that actually stays in my hair, so i went the pro product route and bought the developer and color rather than a box kit from the drugstore....

i did nothing special beforehand, so this probably won't help much.. but i put in the color, let it process for about 25 minutes and then used a color conditioner followed by my regular HE LTR.... i mostly dried it under the pibbs and then blew it out and flat-ironed (OHHHHHHHHHHH the heat... lol)..... i'll more than likely deep condition on the next two washes....

i'm very happy with the color so far (feria pro soft polished black - which is a big deal for me because my last try with feria didn't last long).... and there's still hair on my head so that's a positive...
