Hair color dilemma

Ladies, I am really obsessed with trying to grow my hair out. I had a bad incident with a stylist last summer-June2002. To make a long story short, I went to get my hair streaked (with blond dye) and needless to say it was a nightmare! /images/graemlins/crazy.gifIt turned out to be very patchy instead of looking like regular streaks, so she had to go through and put black low lites in my hair to conceal it. Well, it's 9 months later and I'm debating on if I should hold out on the dyes for another year to achieve my length, or go ahead and get it done. My wedding is next June 12, 2004, I was gonna try and wait until a month before my big day. My fiance thinks I'm obsessed with my hair-men just don't understand! What would you do-go ahead and get the streaks done this summer or stretch it for another year? /images/graemlins/frown.gif I'm thinking about just going back to my natural color and leaving the dyes alone, is there anyone out there who feels this way to achieve their length?

Hi Cami. Did you mainly want the streaks for your wedding day? If so, why don't you just have a few lighter-colored hair extensions placed in your hair? They could either be the clip on kind or they can be sewn in. That way you can have the highlights without the possible damage. Also, you would defintely know what color you are getting beforehand.
