The one thing that surprised me with my hair this year is the fact that summer has been much, much harsher on my hair than the winter was.
In the winter, I kept my hair covered everytime I went outside, I kept my humidifier running when I was indoors, and I did lots more pre-shampoo hot oil treatments. My hair was healthier then.
This past summer, the air-conditioning in my car broke, so several days I was flying down the highway at 70mph with my hair blowing in the hot wind. I did less hot oil treatments, thinking I wouldn't need them as much. I was just outdoors in the hot sun very often. I've had more setbacks and disappointments with my hair this summer. I've had to work harder to get it back to the way it felt this past winter.
I always thought winter was worse for your hair than summer. Boy, was I wrong.
Has anyone else, had the same experience?
