With the information you gave, I second clarifying even without knowing more details, but give us more details and it may be something else.

some times the weather can effect our hair and skin. the winter is harsh for me. my skin dries out and i have to use a lot of lotion to keep moisturized. sometime the lack of moisture in your home will effect your hair as well. when the heat is up it dries the air. now if you are in a warm climate then i don't know but i know that i notice changes in both in the colder seasons.

ive heard people say that the lack of moisture could be caused by not drinking enough water. my hair is really dry and i am going to start drinking more water to see if that helps. i agree with the others maybe u need to clarify. and since its winter maybe u should mosturize everyday. are u using a lot of protein that could cause ur hair to feel hard as well.

My hair an my scalp won't stay moisturized. Why in the world is this?

Maybe you need to drink more water or increase your fluid intake.
Wearing a hat or using a scarf or head covering might also help if you're not already doing so.
