I didn't think the test was bad (hurt), BUT they asked me to come back:eek:...Im sooo scared...They said that they saw something on both breasts. They also said that when this happens, it's most likely benign. I sure hope so. I cried when I read the letter. Now I have to wait to get another Rx and an appt. The only thing im holding onto is the fact that breast cancer doesnt run in my family. I hope they can see me before the weekend. I will know tomorrow.

Hun, I'm gonna keep you in my thoughts and hope for the best. You know we're here for you if you need someone to listen.

Dear one don't worry. I had to go back when I had my first mamogram also. It's my understanding that many women do.

The first mammogram has nothing prior to be compared to (such as previous tests). They want to be sure of density and have a comparison of the breast tissue. Most first tests don't 'take' as well and I got the 'letter' to return.

My breasts are pretty 'dense' and it hurts (pinches) like crazy when they take the front and side views. I actually cried on my last two exams. I had to 'hold' one position between that machine for an extended few more moments that seemed forever. They needed to get in as close as possible and that means extra squeezing from that 'press machine'. (sorry about the press). :(

Anyway, I'm praying for you. Don't worry though. I've been there. Gee whiz, I'm been everywhere it seems....

((((( A great big sister hug )))) ;)

i have to go also i will say a prayer for you it be alright i found a bump and last time the just took it out they say some time the come are nothing to worry about:( but i still worry until its over and i take a mammogram every year and a pap also now i cant feel the bump now so i have to go back but GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME:)

God gave 'us' this promise from His word...

"...Blessings of the deep and blessings of the Breast and of the Womb." (Genesis 25)...

"None of these diseases that came upon the Egyptians, shall come upon you."

I know we are still to use wisdom in check ups...yet we also have the word of God to lean upon at all times. Amen. ;)

Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. This helps me a lot as I am keeping it to myself until I know more. This is extremely stressful especially since my dad passed November. I am just waiting for my doctor's office to call me with the results and new Rx,, etc. Thanks again.

Baby42...I hope everything goes well with you. I'll keep you in my prayers.

You are in my prayers Sweetalmondeyes. I went thru the same thing back in 2004 and again this week. After receiving my pap and breast exam my OB/GYn referred me to a breast specialist ASAP. I cried at first but then began to really pray and trust in the Lord. Remember, He will never leave us or forsake us. So I went to the doctor on this past Tues and the doctor said that I have very dense breast which is the reason why my breast are so "lumpy". The doctor saw no need for concern but told me that I really need to perform frequent self-examinations on myself to become familiar with my breast. She also suggest that I keep a chart of my breast and all the places that have lumps so if a new one arise I can bring it to my physicians attention.

But all will be well Sweetalmondeyes :). There are so many women that go thru and have been thru this same situation and as I stated earlier you are in my prayers. If you want to talk I am here.

I went through this a few months ago, so I know how stressful and upsetting this can be. The lump turned out to be a cyst and my doctor ended up aspirating the cyst in his office. Didn't hurt one bit. I will keep you in my prayers.

GOD IS GREAT!

Had my re-examination this afternoon and the test came back good. I'm back to work now and I've started breathing again:) . My BP was probably through the roof. They used a paddle type of compression plate this time for a specific area instead of the big square plate. I had to wait an hr for the results. I was praying the whole time.

This test /self examination is so important to women and men too and I will be stressing this to my friends and family. They will be seeing me in a year.

I Thank You All Again ! :rosebud:
