Guidance to all truth

This is right on time Sidney. God is talking. I tell ya. If it wasn't for anyone else, it definitely was for me. I have always been the one who was nice enough to always receive guidance and direction(hands on) from people. I rarely had to ask for assistance(I guess I was spoiled in that I didn't have to play damsel in distress, people were just always right there for me in some areas of life.)

A friend has been trying to drill in my head for a while that God wont just do things for me. I get it, I know it, but the concept has been so hard to grasp. Right now, I am being faced with some really hard decisions. And in all honestly, I been asking God to basically do it for me because A) its hard and I can't make my mind up and B)if God does it himself, then i wont have to worry about thinking of what if this or what if that.

sighhhhhhh

uhmm. He ain't gonna do it for me and wow. argh. I can't say that I like it, but I always knew it. lol accepting it. receiving it.

You won't have to do anything alone, God is with you. You will do it together. I don't know what you should do but for me whenever I have one of those "knew it" situations i was usually spot on I just didn't want to accept it. The best advice I have heard is what Prudent said in another thread. I can't quote her word for word but she said "prepare yourself to do it" that way if God doesn't do it the way you're hoping you will be prepared. Don't consider it a lack of faith, it's wisdom. If we're sensitive to him we will learn when to apply the faith principles and when to do something.

I encourage the reading of Job 39 - God's answer to Job.

1 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?

2 Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?

3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.

4 Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.

5 Who hath sent out the wild *as*s* free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild *a*s*s?

6 Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.

7 He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.

8 The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.

9 Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?

10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

11 Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?

12 Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?

13 Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?

14 Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,

15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.

16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear;

17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

18 What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.

19 Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?

20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.

21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.

22 He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.

23 The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.

24 He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.

25 He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

26 Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?

27 Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?

28 She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.

29 From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.

30 Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.

This is a great discussion!

I agree that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth and righteousness; as well as lead us into God's perfect will for our lives.

Today I was at the wrong place and I was able to recognize it through discernment. Therefore, I got up and left.

The Holy Spirit led me to where I supposed to be. As a result, I received my blessing by being in the right place and at the right time.

I believed this happened b/c I prayed the day before and I was sensitive to the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction.

It is a blessing and an advantage to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:9-12
9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

If this is often your situation, I want to encourage you all to pray in the language of the holy spirit. Why? Because praying in the spirit will increase the presence of the holy spirit in your life and will make you more sensitive to hearing his voice over your own. Also when you pray in the prayer language, the holy spirit will petition God for the things you do not know to ask ( Romans 8:26). The bible says the holy spirit only seeks to do the will of the father so you know the prayer will be effective. How can you get off couse if the holy spirit makes utterance for you? I encourage you ladies to use this gift.....if God gave you these tools, we should use them.

Be effective, redeem the time! And of course, put foremost the will of God.

LADIES IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO ADD ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT PLEASE POST COMMENTS BELOW. I think this is very important. Thanks

Forgive me for asking what some may consider a dumb question. I assume when you say pray in the spirit and pray in the language of the holy spirit that you're referring to the gift of speaking/praying in tongues. I also understand that we should pray to receive this gift; however, how should one pray until this gift is received? (scriptures, please) Currently, I just make sure I give thanks and say what's in my heart.

I stopped speaking in tounges
Why
Someone asked me" well speaking in tounges meant speaking in foriegn languages that others can reconize. Not a "heavenly" language. How do you know you're speaking something demonic against another or if you're cursing against the most high because you don't know what you're saying?"

Yep that shut me up
