Happy Holidays to you all!
I am recovering from food poisoning and a bad bout of the flu, but wanted to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope to visit more often in 2003.
For those of you who remember, I was on my way to vacation in Hawaii last time I posted. It was gorgeous and utterly relaxing. However, getting food poisoning from the airline food was not /images/graemlins/confused.gif And soon after recovering from that nonsense, getting a bad case of the flu was the icing on the cake. I've been weak as water for quite some time, but thankfully my energy level has increased a lot the past few days.
I hope that everyone has been taking excellent care of their hair and enjoying it, too /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Just so Beverly doesn't boot me out, here's a hair squib. It's not exactly roses and light, but a taste of reality. For those of you who thought I had gone insane and chopped off my hair, no, I did not lose my mind. I just had it cut back to butt length...where it belongs in my humble opinion /images/graemlins/grin.gif
Anyway, I was really good to my hair on vacation with a lot of conditioning and even a few hot oil treatments to ward off salt water damage.
When the flu hit and my temperature started to CLIMB, I decided I would put my hair in two braids, leave it alone. I went WAY past my usual every 3 days of washing. My scalp was actually a bit odiferous (ladies, it STANK) and my hair was grimy, sticky, gummy, just plain yucky. I figured either I put some water and suds to this scalp and hair or I was going to have a MATTED MESS. The water and shampoo were past wonderful. I took my time and enjoyed every minute of it /images/graemlins/grin.gif
Cheers and Joy to you all,
Jade
