Let's compile all of our tricks and treats of the trade of hair growing here. It will make it easier for people to see different ideas of different things they can try!

How do you do it?

Is it vitamins, a high protein diet, growth enhancers (MTG), co-washes, etc..., or combination of things?

Different things work for different women, but what has worked for you? Did you just accelerate your growth or gain thickness also?

TIA

off to compile my list to include...

It definitely has been a combination of things for me. I think that the most important thing that allowed me to have the greatest growth is a daily high-protein shake every morning along with MSM and Therapro Gain hair vitamins.

What has helped me to retain growth are weekly deep conditioning (alternating protein and moisture), putting my hair up in a bun more often and covering it at night.

MSM & moisturizer plus protective styles have helped me to achieve the greatest growth gains.

Personally I say it is a combination as well. Protective styling, frequent washes (cowash) & moisturizing. For thickness, I also say the same stuff but also henna.

I would say it is moisture and low manipulation that works for me. Deep treatments are up there too!

I did use to see a lot of growth when i use to use MTG every night or every other night, then the next morning used a combo of Surge and WGHO. This helped me get at least an inch a month. I think i might go back to doing this starting tonight cause it really helped. It also helped to wash my hair at least once a week, moisturize everyday and protective styling everyday. I really need to go back to doing these things cause they really helped me get past APL to like 3 inches from BSL. When i stopped taking care of it like that, my hair broke off to shoulder length so i will definitely pick up on some of these tactics again.

Bunning, Moisturizing 2x a day, frequent cowashes have def helped me retain length and hair health.

Low manipulation, moisturize, hair vitamins and Sulfur 8! Since becoming a LHCF member, I've tried several other things but I'm slowly returning to my tried and true methods.

I'm slowly realizing that there is no miracle growth product, we all must apply patience with what works for us individually. Although, I must admit I'm addicted to this site! Love you guys.

The biggest benefit for me has been extending my relaxers.
