Water is not harmful or drying. I've found that water is wonderful for my hair because it enables it to be stretched without breaking allowing me to comb it while wet.(Dry natural hair is a nightmare!)

Moisture is the best thing for hair to keep it from breaking. Water is the best moisturiser, I've found that while plain water doesn't do it, but water and oil works and curl activator works.
 
That's good to know. When I read that I was like....
All this daily rinsing and Distilled water and they say that!
