I washed my hair and applied a hair lotion (that I use occasionally). Well, actually I slathered it on like it was a deep conditioner. It was okay until I tried to wash out the next day. It would NOT come out. I washed x3. My hair was greasy/ sticky. I ACV rinsed x3 then shampooed. ARGHH every time a sqeezed out the water, greasy white stuff still there. Okay I am starting to panic. I got the dish washing soap and start washing. Yep at this point I am getting desperate. Still greasy. By now I am turning into a prune, my husband wants to know what's wrong and why am spending so much time in the shower. Finally, I tried some of my verifen shampoo I had left and it cut the grease like nobody's business. I shampooed twice and it was really nice. I like verifen (conditioner, detangler, oils) but always thought a shampoo is a shampoo. Instead I usually focus on the conditioners. It left my hair clean and soft even after the dish washing soap. I am glad I had that half of a bottle left because I didn't know what else to do. Oh yeah, maybe there is a such thing as too much grease. Yuck!

Wow glad you were able to get it out. I remember the night before my mom was going to take me to the hair salon to get my first Jeri Curl I put a pound of of grease in my hair for no reason at all!! When I finally got to the salon my stylist was heated!!:wallbash: I remember she had to wash my hair about 10 times and every time she had to do a strand test to ensure my hair was back to normal. Never again will I make that mistake :nono:

I use DAX clarifying poo to wash out grease and oil from my hair.
I know they make to kind of poo for petroleum based products shampoo's.
I think the other poo is to wash out hairdressing and pomades products.
