Gray hair

Does anyone know if gray hair grows faster/slower than the rest of your hair. The reason I ask is b/c I have this one gray hair that is about 1inch long and I figured I could use this one hair to measure my hair growth...sounds crazy I know...but me and measuring don't get along.

I don't know if there is a difference in growth rate for gray hair overall...

My few strands of gray are the same length as the rest of my natural colored hair, so I think it grows at the same rate.
