GRAPE SEED OIL

...has anyone tried it? I had it used on my skin during a massage, and it was like heaven. My skin was moist from 11am until after 12am when I showered. I know traditionally oil seals and doesn't mositurize, but the grape seed oil is like a moisturizing oil if that makes sense. My question is, I wonder if it's good for our hair? Has anyone ever tried it?

TIA

I use it for oil rinsing with jojoba.
What's your hair type, and style (natural, relaxed)? How does it make your hair feel? And please explain oil rinsing...it is like co-washing? ALSO what brand to do you use, and where do you buy it?

Costco has it in a BIG bottle, great quality, low price. I don't remember how low:ohwell: but low enough for my cheap self to purchase, so it must have been a bargin. I Get EVOO at Costco also.:yep:

Yep! My second fav oil! Doesn't have a strong smell either! I also use it for sealing, My first fav is def coconut oil! try it out...its great. FYI: Don't use alot though...can be quite greasy. I think that's with any oil though lol

What Brand is it? I believe the one I used was from a red grape as the oil was pink...does it matter (red or green grapes?)

Grapeseed oil is good for hair, nails, skin, and cooking. I use it when I deep fry foods chicken, french fries etc. and its also great for sauteing vegetables and bacon. It gives the food an overall crisp taste. I use the kind from Trader Joe's and I buy three to four bottles at a time because I use it for so many things.

Info on oil

If you're having problems with tangles try this...
  1. Rinse (or shampoo) your hair
  2. Coat in your favorite oil (I've used olive, jojoba, castor, meadowfoam, dabur alma, and aphogee EFA oil, red palm oil/butter--- my favorite is an amla, castor mix)
  3. Rinse with warm/hot water
  4. Apply conditioner
  5. Rinse with cool/cold water
  6. Apply leave-in
  7. Seal
I'm not alone other people think it a miracle too...http://www.longhaircareforum.com/for...89#post2679989

The part that makes it an oil rinse is using conditioner to help rinse some of the oil from your hair. Everything else is just a pre-poo, hot oil treatment, or an oil wash.

Don't sleep on oil rinses! It may be your hair miracle. :yep: __________________

i also love grapeseed oil. I mix it with sweet almond oil and use it as a massage oil/ after shower oil, pre-poo or scalp oil when i add essential oils:)

Yes, I use grapeseed oil for my skin and hair and I like it a lot. I recently tired Apricot Kernel and that's good too:yep:.

I also use as rinse: Almond, Coconut

So far I seem to be able to leave-in: grapeseed and the apricot kernel.

I eyed a big jug of grapeseed oil at the Indian store the other day...it was inexpensive too!! :yep: I might need to check that out...
