I bought some grape seed oil yesterday and I used it and liked it. It has a different smell, but it was only .99 so I figured I'd give it a try. Does anyone else use this? I have dry skin and whenever I use oil - castor oil, vitamin e oil, and hot six oil, it totally breaks my face out. How can I prevent that.

i use a mix of grapeseed. olive, castor, glycerin oils on my hair and if it the oil travels to my face, I get bumps on my cheeks.

I use coconut oil on my face and grape seed oil in my homemade sea salt exfoliator, it leaves my skin really really soft.

I'm not using these oils on my face it's just that sometimes a little gets on my forehead and it breaks out. I touched my cheeks after using these oils and broke out. I've always had sensitive sking. COuld this be a a allergic reaction or just clogging pores?

Your breakout could be acne cosmetica. It looks like small bumps across the surface of the skin or scalp. The skin will look and feel rough. Many comedones, and possibly some small papules and pustules, will be present.(blocked pores)
This type of acne is caused by the use of comedogenic hair or skin care products. When a cosmetic product accumulates within the follicle, the pore becomes blocked. Excess skin oil builds up, clogging the pore and creating a blemish.

Pomades or hair oils, heavy moisturizers, eye creams, and makeup are all common causes of acne cosmetica.
If you like essential and natural oils (some are also comedogenic) try Revive nutritive sheen serum. It's new www.drops-of-nature.com. Check out the ingredients section it will let you know what oils are comedogenic.
