Graceful Growouts

Has anyone used different cute hair cuts to grow their hair out? I mean like everytime your hair gets to a certain length, you cut it into a style. If so how long did it take you to do it? Example:

The pics in your siggy look good. How long do you keep you hair cut before you move to the next style??

I kept it short only for 3 months (Oct 07) and then I let it start growing back without getting another trim. My reason for cutting it was for going natural. I had a twa for two weeks prior then I changed my mind and went back to relaxing. I can't wait to post a SL pic this year. Oh yeah!

I wish I knew her name but there is another LHCF member who grew their hair from twa to past apl in one year. Her siggy pic shows the twa and now the relaxed long hair. If I find her I'll be back with her name.

Found her!!! Her LHCF name is Tootuff and it took her from (TWA in 2006) - (APL in 2008)

I'm going to have to check her out. I would like to do this too. I wanna cut my hair shorter and cut my hair into different styles until it grows out. I just don't want to take 5 years to do it.

That's what I'm kinda doing now. I decided to transition, so I got my hair cut in long layers going from APL to a bit above SL. I'm going to go back in about a month (so 8 wks from orig cut) and have him neaten it up. I haven't decided on whether to go with a new cut, or keep the one I have though. I just didn't want shapeless blah hair going through this b/c I knew it would discourage me and make the idea of relaxing more tempting.
