so im natural, and ever since ive combed my locs out last august ive been learning my hair.. at the same time ive never had a hair cut so i notice some areas are longer than others ( cant really tell in a wash and go but i notice it during the times i wanna wear my hair straight. Now im rocking some two strand twists and in some areas, the thickness just straight fades away and i dont like how it looks, so im like do i

a) grab the end of that scraggly lookin twist n chop it
b) go let someone (i trust) go and cut it the same length all the way around(not sure how id go about that but it just popped in my head lol)
c) stop wearin the twists lol
d) leave it alone and wonder if it will catch up and thicken up somehow

i figured id wear the twists to leave my hair alone but all ive done the last two days was wear em in a bun...all input will be greatly appreciated and if this post doesnt make sense im sorry, i got a woo-banging headache lol

id get it cut. i dont think it would be cut even all the way around because i think theyy give ntural hair layers too. idk, but i would cut so i cn wear different styles without being able to see the thin areas.

i noticed its mainly my right side thats shorter, now do i work on that side or lose what length i have to even it up is my issues... :( guess i'll take it one day at a time and think before the next thread is "why the hell did i cut my hair?" lol thanx for your input

I agree with getting it cut. No even but a nice healthy trim might mask some of the unevenness and thin areas.

I have no advice to offer but props on actually going through the process of combing out your locs. I think I'd go crazy.

I have this same problem. What I did was cut some of it myself and I wish I would have left it alone. So it spots my hair is much shorter than the rest, by 6 or more inches shorter. Now when I try and wear a twist out some spots stick up while the rest falls (my hair grows out first then falls later). So have hair that looks like some run away red headed step child and the other patches fall down. When my hair is straight you can see some patches at chin length and the rest of my hair is arm pit length, so it's a pretty big difference.

So now I try and wear a flower over the biggest patch of short hair. Other times I'm bunning.

I wish I would have left it alone in the first place. Now I'm on the hunt for the bee mine serum to put it where the short patches are to try and help it catch up to the rest
