Hey I am in need of a good daily moisturizer thats a spray on.I had the one by motions but it was not for me. I just kinda need something for when Im on the go and dont want to use a lotion. Any suggestions? Your own conccoctions are welcome also. TIA

Hi,

I use IC leave-in with aloe. I normally dilute it in a spray bottle. Many people also use S-Curl... I have never used this doh but I use a similar glycerin spary it on my sisters natural hair and it does a really really good job.

HTH..Im sure others will chime in...

I've used Taliah Waajid's Bodifying Mist and that works great. I have recently been trying a mixture of 1/3 aloe vera juice and 2/3 water in a spray bottle. That works fine although I don't like the smell and my hair sucks it up almost immediately. Next I plan on trying glycerin and water. If all else fails...back to Taliah Waajid.

Taliah waajid is good but its too thick for a spray bottle. It kind of sprays in clumps. I just put mines out of the bottle. I really like devacurl set it free. Its very moisturizing and I don't have to seal when I use it. Plus it had an overall even spray.

I use Nu Gro Spray Moisturizer with oil. It has glycerin and other natural ingredients. Since using it, I've noticed thickness, growth and extreme softness. Also, no shedding. It comes in 16 oz and 8 oz. Go to nugro.com i think. I love their products and they have EXCELLENT customer service!

I use Nu Gro Moisturizing (the regular one, not the oil free) and seal with B&B's oil or a mixture of my own. NuGro is not sold anywhere in NYC, so I have to order it, so I use ORS's leave in in between but it's not in a spray. I also use Kinky Curly's Knot Today, but again, not a spray. NuGro is pretty good for me. (natural, supposedly 4a, more curly than kinky).

Taliah Waajid's Protective Mist Bodifier -- best stuff ever!

**sidenote: I see we have a few similar staples, (Nexxus Therappe Shampoo & Humectress Conditioner) so maybe you'll like the mist too.

That link took me somewhere else but I found the site. Thanx

I think I'm going to have to try this. Seems like most who have tried it liked it.
Thumbs up to Nugro. I like the moisturizing spray (with oil) and the shampoo. I use sulfur almost every night and have no shedding or dryness.

Taliah Waajid's Protective Mist bodifier works very well in my hair. I mix it with water because it's kinda thick, and plus it makes it last longer. I also use S-Curl No Drip.

I use S-Curl No Drip and olive oil. I love that it makes my hair feel soft for
days. I usually wear twistouts and maintain by pineappling or setting in larger
twists overnight. I reapply S-Curl/olive oil when I'm re-setting the twistout with
large twists and only use olive oil for shine if I'm pineappling.

That Taliah Waajid's stuff is showing as being sold in certain stores like target and cvs. I wonder if thats in prodominately black communities cause I ve never seen it around here

Probably because it isn't sold in the Target near where I live. I first started getting mine from treasuredlocks.com but then found a local black-owned beauty supply store that sells it.

It must be certain communities because I've never seen it at Target. It took forever for it to come to "one" bss where I live.

^^^I just think it takes a bit longer for every store to get every line. I live in a white suburb of Baltimore, and it took forever for my Target to get Miss Jessie's and the like, but they eventually stocked them. The Target in the city had it way before mine did.

Ojon revitalizing mist.
I use it on wet hair when I rollerset (sealed with a serum) & as a daily moisturizer when I pin curl my hair. It moisturizes & helps to set my curls.

Like other people have said, Taliah Waajid protective mist bodifier is some sort of miracle product. It is THICK, so I just spray it in my hands, rub together, and apply throughout my hair. MY hair feels like whatever a cloud feels like. Too soft!

In No Particular Order

Oyin's Juice & Berries
Oyin's Frank's Juice
Oyin's Greg's Juice
MyHoneyChild Herbal Hair Cocktail
Njoi Moisture Milk Leave-In
Njoi Herbal Tea Spritz
Bear Fruit Hair's Desert Drench Leave-In
Qhemet's Karkady Tea Hair Spritz

Water mixed a little bit of any old conditioner that I didn't really like. Sometimes I add some oil to the mix.

Taliah Waajid, hands down. I use it in a mixture, its not as thick that way, plus it lasts a lot longer:
Leave-In Mixture
2 ounces Taliah
2 ounces water
1/8 cup grapeseed oil (I have also used EVOO and avocado oils with just as good results)

I use Nu Gro Moisturizing (the regular one, not the oil free) and seal with B&B's oil or a mixture of my own. Yes it is, on 125th St. The BSS that is right next to the STudio Museum of Harlem going towards Lenox Ave. I saw it in there when I was there a few weeks ago and I was shocked.

It's a 10 Miracle Leave In Product is fantastic--the best moisturizer I've ever tried. Although it's a spray, it has a creamy consistency.

I recently purchased a couple of spray on conditioners for the same reasons you mentioned. I have only used one and had pretty good results. I used Jane Carter's revitalizing leave in conditioner and I liked it; however, it is not thick at all and I started dripping a little. I probably used too much. I also bought Giovanni vitapro fusion protective moisture leave-in hair treatment. I like every other Giovanni product I've bought so I thought it was worth a shot. I will have to report back on how this one goes!

I have also taken note of some of the ones mentioned in this post. I am a PJ so I have to be careful.
