Good Shampoo for Locs

My husband has locs and I maintain them and have been doing so for a while now.

Now I usually make him use any shampoo that I am using at the time, but more recently I have had him using Nexxus Therappe shampoo and the humectress conditioner. Are there any others that are good for his hair? Also, would you recommend me doing a hot oil treatment? I read that you should do one, but never have because I am nervous about getting it cleansed well afterwards.

Stick with clear shampoos(dr.Bronner(also dilute))..and dilute condioners..so as to to get build up down the road...I'm a loctitan..so I have learned the hard way about product build up....herbal rinses are the best for conditioning...you can mix up your own version....I think there are recipes on the recipe form...good luck
