Good grease products

Myhoneychild has a petrolatum free grease called Sophia's grease . It's really good and all natural.

Try mixing up your own using a combo of butters and oils your hair likes. Even if it looks like it cost your more to purchase the butters/oils needed, it will actually cost you less (you get more product for your money overall). Plus it it's filler-free and better for your hair IMO. I made a batch yesterday :-)

For an easy one, you can mix coconut oil and Spectrum Organic All vegetable Shortening (Palm oil butter) together for a nice grease. Both cost about $7 each and you get a total of 36oz worth of "grease". Smells nice, too.

I was gonna suggest the same. Shea butter whipped with coconut oil has been the best grease I ever used and I whipped it up myself and add as many goodies into it as I want.

my coworker mixed avocado butter with a little castor oil and coconut oil..she is bringing me a sample today.

No. More of a Crème.

But the Scalp Butter is Definitely a "Grease" Smells good like Peppermint Patties and gives you a little cooling sensation.

@daae

You asked for Good Hair Grease and that's what I attempted to give you.:lol:

As did most that responded.:look:

You didn't ask for a Hair Crème which is entirely different. You asked for a Grease.

Different Texture, Different Weight, Different Consistency. Altogether different products.

I think OT is asking for education about grease - based on another thread I think the creme is what she is already using :).

I also have fine, dense, very curly hair and I find heavy grease like Softee Indian Hemp (right from Dollar Tree, there is a thread on it) or Dax work well for me when applied to wet hair, but then again my hair does very well with petrolatum products.

@IDareT'sHair

what does a creme do to hair that grease doesn't or vice versa

is it heavier etc...

The Califia Moisturizing Cream is an oil based moisturizer. It is a whipped loose texture and is for sealing that is slighter more than just regular ol' oil. Grease is oil that have been gelled together (I don't know the actual process). Grease is great for heavy sealing your ends.

This is how grease looks.
