my hair laughed at wave grease when i tried it back in high school, but that was pre lhcf. Love my fantasia IC to slick it down.:yep:

....Have you ever used "Wave Grease" or male products to keep your hair down?
I'm about to buy some wave grease for my hair... :ohwell:

You mean like Murray's or Sportin' Waves? If so, yes I was always dippin' in my Daddy's Murray's when I was younger for my edges. That with a little water, a boar bristle brush, and a scarf and I was good to go! In college, I always was in my then BF/now DH's Sportin' Waves...once again to hook up the edges. But now, my edges seem a little weaker and they can't take all that goo anymore. A little shea butter does just as well, without the buildup:yep: (Beware...that stuff is not easy to wash out!:ohwell:)

Yeah, shea butter works for me with some gel. Take a scarf to tie hair down for a few minutes and voila!

Those wave pomades have petroleum and or beeswax in them which is a beast to wash out.

Although... sporting waves and gel use to work really well for me back in the day.:yep:

THanks ladies!

I am almost too through.

My hair has been "pulled back" daily for over 1.5 years now.
I've 8 months since a textirizer, and I work out daily.

I'm using BT/MTG and taking Biotin and MSM...
I need a haircut...
And I am afraid there's nothing else I can do or use short of a perm to keep these edges and curls down.

Your help is truly appreciated!
