Gold/Gray strands of hair!! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! LOL

Hi guys,

I'm in dire need of a solution to this problem that I have had for some time now- graying hair. I've ignored it after I started taking really good care of my hair over the past 3-4 years, but today I just couldn't take it. I needed to scream! LOL I've done an extensive amount of research on this, so I know why hair turns gray and all the possible reasons: heredity, stress, etc. I've read on the forum that many people have turned to henna and cassia for hair color restoration, but the whole process has me a bit skeptical. lol
Thus far, I have: 1) added molasses to my dc's
2) taken my B vitamins
3) tried to rinse with nettle tea and crushed peach kernels (I could have sworn I started seeing more grays =()
4) started drinking blackstrap molasses in water or just plainly adding it as a sweetener ( the black strap is rich in copper which aides in the restoration or black hair strands) - This is kind of working, but I have still observed more hairs changing color.
5) started eating more bananas- iodine
6)baggied

I look at the strands and the color change either occurs at my ends or at the root. They are not entirely grey either. They are more gold then they are grey. I know I sound paranoid about this, but I just cant take it. lol
I've moisturized and sealed like crazy, and my hair is very much healthy. Yet over the past week I've seen 5 or 6 new hairs.
Is there anything else I can do?

I have the same problem. My friends joke that I will be fully gray by the time I'm 23. Smh. I know it is hereditary. I've tried rinses, but I don't really care for them. I may try a permanent dye soon.

I went to Henna and Indigo.

My grays kept coming as I was stressing. Then when the stress stopped some never came back but, there were some that remained. My siblings didn't gray as early as I did.

The Henna and Indigo together are kinda drying for my hair at first but after a week or so I OD on Moisture and it snaps back. :)

Plus the color is beautiful and it's a more natural way to color. Just messy and takes a while. Once every 6-8 weeks won't kill me though.

Hey ladies! Have you guys tried the blackstrap molasses yet? People are taking about it seriously. I've tried it and observed some changes. Its serious stuff! lol Aside from the slight color change, my hair grow longer within weeks, which shocked me.

@ JJamiah, I have to try to henna and cassia though. I did hear that it was drying, but thats why you have to dc right after.
@ Jaszg, I'm 22 and I can count them them. lol You wont grey completely by 23, but it the choice of product. And to be completely honest, there are some crazy things happening with the moisturizers being sold now. They all have artificial ingredients- even the staples.

@Fiel I Henna/Indigo and DC and still find it a little drying, the best wash is the week after and it is usually like New Money after. Haven't tried the Cassia :)

Want to try the Hibiscius Flower in my Henna ()

I truly have to work on getting the Indigo to not be so drying. Henna alone seems to soften my hair but not get it black. So I use the Indigo. Yet the Indigo is my choice compared to the Box colors which burn my scalp.

Thats what I figured. I know the cassia turns the hair dark, but it turns grays to gold.
Do you baggie as well? If you want real moisture, I know that works. And what does the hibiscus flower addition do?

I have the same problem and I have done the henna process a for a while and ended up with the golden, coppery grays too.
Now Im using the amla oil more because its said to darken hair, no results yet though.
I really want to stay all natural but I have been seriously considering using a semi-permanent color rinse.
This is driving me nuts because my hair is a little more than gray, it more of a bright silvery gray.

Any suggestions? :perplexed
