A lot of BSS around the city carry Mizani (I think the one on 36th and 8th ave does). However, I'm not sure how 'authentic' or fresh their Mizani products are, so I'd suggest you go to Ricky's or find a Mizani dealer in the city via their website.

About Dominican blowouts, someone else can chime in, b/c I get mine done in the Bronx and I doubt you want to trek up there when you're downtown :)

Girl, when I went a few years ago the LHCF ladies sent me to a BSS called Just for Me in Brooklyn. It was at Fulton & Flatbush if I remember correclty. It was Heaven on earth for a PJ like me. :yep:

shoot, if I went I'd go to Karen's Body Beautiful and smell all the heavenly scents from all the products. Then I'd go to the store that sells all the Qhemet Biologics products. Then I'd go to Sam's and get that black castor oil pomade I've been wanting. Yeah . . .

We'd be bumping elbows because I'd be hitting those spots as well! I'm going to be in the city next month and I've already e-mailed my intinerary to my cousin so she can be prepared  It's bad when you don't even really care about shopping for anything but hair products!!

lol...I wouldn't bother making a special trip to the store that sells QB. I went and while it had my Burdock Root Butter Creme, it did not have a wide selection of QB products. I think it had 5 or 6 at most (Egyptian Tea Shampoo (sp?), Amla Heavy Cream, the Olive Detangle, and something else, but it def. did not have the grapeseed tea tree pomade that I was eyeing on the website :ohwell:).

Is the store that sells QB easy to find? I ask because I plan to head to NYC for the day tomorrow and I really want to get the AO Heavy cream while I'm there.

TIA

Thank you soooo much for posting this thread :spinning: I too am going to New York in 3 weeks, and was aiming to do the very same thing. Being a confessed pj I've already started my product list, and will be bringing an empty case.

Thank you and thanks to all of you ladies for the advice so far:kisses:

You have to go to Ricky's, theirs one in brooklyn on montague street and a ton of them in Manhattan (rickysnyc.com)

There's a store that sells Oyin Products (google Addie and Ferro) it's located downtown brooklyn , call before you go to check what they have in stock.

It's easy to find, but if you're uptown (Harlem and such) then I wouldn't bother getting on the train (especially on the weekends, when stuff runs local a.k.a slowly) to go get it unless you are very averse to buying it online or need to have it right away. If you're driving, then go for it I suppose. You can then have dinner at Hecho en Dumbo (my fav Mex. spot in the entire city) :lick: when you're on your way out of BK, lol.

Oh gee thanks:ohwell:.
the kids and I will be in NY for the first 2 weeks of Sept. All I had palnned to do was go to my old neighborhood and catch up with a few folks, but no. Ya'll had to start talking about places to feed a PJ habit..... Oh well, I'm takin' good notes.......:spinning:

Girrrll, of course I want it NOW! :yep: I'm too impatient to order it online and wait 2 weeks for it..:nono: (even though I would have had by now) just being honest. I'm going to the city for day to just shop (more like window shop) and hang out and get away for DC for a min. Trying out Megabus  So I will prob go the BK first then work my way up to Harlem. So what train/route is the best to take on the weekend? I'm familiair w/the 2 and I think 5 or 6 to fulton street. It's been a while.....
