Dancin' on sunshine!
I am going to BC my hair in a year or so and wanted to get a texturizer. I BC already in April '03, and got a relaxer in April '05. This time around I would like to move in a different direction.

I am 4a/4b. I am a little nervous about them, because I have never had one before and I don't want to use one that will mess up my hair. Are there any APL/BSL texturizer users here? Thanks in advance :p

Congrads PrettyHaitian!! :)

I'm lurking for info as well. I plan on chopping it off in 2 years for the 30th birthday!! :) If I get enough nerve up I may do it sooner. I've seen some CUTE TWA that encourage me.

Why do you want to texturize if you're going to chop it off though? Will it change the curl pattern of your hair? Help me...I'm clueless.

If she cuts it and then texlaxes/texturizes it will loosen the curl, so it will be easier to wear straight, or in looser curls then her natural hair.

I think its awesome that you're doing a bc go head girl! Good luck. I'm not apl, and I'm natural, so I don't think I'm of any help, but I do know it's possible to be texlaxed and achieve apl, as long as you take proper care of your hair.:)

Thank you for explaining that to me....hmmmm....more research to do.

I am APL texturized. Did you not like the bone straight look anymore?

I am in between Apl and brastrap and I am slightly texturized but I am transitioning to natural. Have you ever been natural?

I am tired of the fuzzy hair in my temple area. I just figured since I BCed already, maybe a texturizer would give me more options. Thanks for responding ladies ((( HUGS )))
